Let's get started with a recap of my March Monthly Makeup Basket - I will show my April picks in next week's Five on Friday. Each month I pick a few face products to focus on for the month (sometimes I pick them randomly from a list and others I pick that I want to use!)
So, for March I used:
- Luna Cosmetics Highlighter in "Calypso" - this is a beautiful highlighter that I put in February basket; but, I did not use it as much then, so I carried it over to March and I used it a few more times this month! It's really unique in my collection!
- Becca Apres Ski Glow Face Palette - this is such a pretty face palette and I haven't used it much before this month! I love the bronzer, Bronzed Bondi, and two bronzers - Opal and Rose Quartz. The blushes are little pigmented (and I prefer a lighter hand), and Icicle is a little too light for me. But overall, I like this palette!
- Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Ornate - I actually didn't use this blush much this month - maybe once this month! I think I will carry it over for April and see if I use it.
- Too Faced Sweet Peach Papa Don’t Peach Blush - this is hands down one of my favorite blushes ever - it still looks really pretty on!
TWO
Last weekend was the Grape Escape - it's basically a Wine, Beer and Spirits fest with all you can drink tastings. It's so fun - you can drink from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm and be home by 10! It's lovely! We buy our parents tickets every year for Christmas and we always go together!

And, my little monkey Elliott turned 23 months old this past weekend which means that he is less than a month away from turning 2 years old! I can't believe where the time has gone!
FOUR
Okay, this may seem a little crazy; but, I've finally tried this bougie Marvis Toothpaste ($10.00 CAN each) and I'm not going to lie, I love it so far! Also, my husband tried to give me shit about it too until he tried it and now he's on the bandwagon too! Why have I waited so long?! I want to pick up the sample pack to try all the flavors - specifically charcoal and lavender!
FIVE
I'm so excited about this new podcast I found - Crime Beat is hosted by Nancy Hixt, a local Calgary crime reporter. It's a true crime podcast with all local stories and she's great to listen to with stories that I've seen and read about with a really unique reporter's perspective. If you like true crime, I think you'll like this one!
I hope you all have a great weekend - I'm looking forward to a little down time after a hectic week!
