Wet n Wild Not A Basic Peach Color Icon Eyeshadow 10 Pan Palette - Swatches, Makeup Look and Review!

Have you ever been so excited for a makeup release that you pick it up as soon as you can find it in a store; but, then you just let it sit there all pretty for months (or in this case a whole year...) ... ya, I've done it with a couple of products and shockingly, this palette is one of them!

I was so excited last year when Wet n Wild revamped their 8 pan palettes last year with these new 10 pan palettes and this Not A Basic Peach one is so gorgeous! I'm so ashamed that is has sat in my collection since I picked it up last March; because, I have been really excited to use it, for some crazy reason I just haven't!

I tried the Rose in the Air palette right away when I picked it up, and I really enjoyed it! The Wet n Wild palettes are super affordable palettes and it was one of my first drugstore palettes that I tried!

Wet n Wild Not A Basic Peach Color Icon Eyeshadow 10 Pan Palette - Swatches, Makeup Look and Review!

Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow 10 Pan Palette in Not A Basic Peach ~ $7.29 CAN/$4.99 USPowerfully pigmented, buttery-soft, glides on like a dream. That’s what we dreamed up with our reformulated Color Icon eyeshadows. Our reformulated Color Icon hues come in a mix of coveted colors, from shimmery daytime hues to sultry shades for cocktail hours—including new matte transitional shades for impeccable blending.

This palette's colour scheme is the typical 2018 warm palette with a pop of blue; but, I didn't actually pick up many of those palettes, so even though it was a super popular colour scheme, I don't have a lot of palettes like this in my collection!

I'm so impressed that these palettes are only $7 - that seems like such a good price point! I've paid much more than this for palettes that aren't very good, so it's so impressive that Wet n Wild can come up with a beautiful eyeshadow palette for such an affordable price!

These are all the shadows swatched with one finger, no primer - they swatched fairly nicely. The mattes didn't swatch the greatest; but, they applied really nicely and were super blendable. The darkest shade was extra soft when swatched! The shimmers were really pretty and applied really nicely (they apply the nicest with a finger or wet brush).

The only thing I wish with these palettes were that the shades were named; but, it does keep this particular palette small and streamline and I do like that!

I did put the top transition shade all over the lid, the shimmery white as the brow bone highlighter. Then I used the brown transition, peach and orange brown in the crease. The shimmery coral pink is on the lid and the gold is in the inner corner and inner lid. The outer lid is deepened slightly with the dark brown. And, the blue shadow is on the lower lash line.

I was very happy with how this palette performed on the eyes - seriously, how did this take me so long to use! I love the peaches, corals and oranges and the mattes are very blendable and the shimmers are very pretty applied to the eyes! I also love the pop of blue, and I know this was a pretty typical palette trend last year; but, it will still be a solid colour combination this Spring and Summer!

I paired this look with the Vichy Teint Ideal Fluid Foundation in 25, the ColourPop Creme Lux Lipstick in Ariel, and Too Faced Papa Don't Peach blush.

It is giving me all the Spring vibes using this palette, so I plan on using it more asap! So, if you didn't pick this up and are looking for a fun warm, Spring palette that is very affordable and works well, I would check this out! And, reminder if you did pick this one up last year, it's time to pull it out again and get using it!

  1. $7 for a palette like this is a real steal! This particular palette doesn't appeal to me (I don't really do warm shades), but I do love the look you did with it and the colours look great on you!
