Instead of doing shamrock art for the week, I took all the colours I would have used and I did this random abstract nail art. I have been seeing Abstract nails everywhere and I really love them!
I have done abstract nails once before, and I think they are super fun - I'm actually not the most artistic person, so I find these random brush stroke manis a little hard to do; but, I'm loving how this green nail art came together!
The products I used for this week's Mani are:
-Formula X nail cleanser and base coat
-Essie Gel Couture Top Coat
-OPI polish in Greenade (lighter green, was an exclusive sub. box shade) & OPI Envy the Adventure
-Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Mint Sorbet
-Lip Smacker Smackers polish in Skellington
-Wikkid magnetic polish in Hermione
-nail dotting tool (not pictured)
To create this manicure, I started with nail cleanser, base coat and 2 coats of mint green polish. Then starting with the darkest green polish, I wiped most of the polish off the brush and just swiped random brush strokes across the nails. Then I repeated this step with the medium green, and the deep gold green shimmery polish. Then, using a nail dotting tool and the black polish I jut dotting two or three clusters of dots in different places on the nails. Then, I topped it with top coat!
So, everything ended up being concentrated at the tips of my nails; but, I do like how it looks! The perfectionist in me totally struggles to create nail art like this because it doesn't match how my nails normally do; but, I thought it was fun do to!
Are you going green for St. Patricks Day week? As always, make sure you check out Cosmetic Proof, Prairie Beauty Love, and Tea & Nail Polish to see their Green nails this week!
