Spring 2015 FabFitFun Lifestyle Box Review and Unboxing + Coupon Code

FabFitFun is an awesome quarterly lifestyle box! For $57.99 Canadian ($49.99 in the U.S.A.)  at the start of each season, they guarantee you will receive at least $100 worth of items. It is usually way more - the last few boxes have had over $200 worth of goodies!

This is only the 3rd box that FabFitFun has shipped to Canada! They started shipping to Canada in the Summer 2014! I have been very happy with the FabFitFun boxes - this is one of my favorite subscriptions!

Here is a look at the Spring 2015 Box:

Looks like a lot of goodies - let's take a closer look:

Jules Smith Scarf in "Modern Art" print ~ $42. Each lightweight cotton viscose scarf is printed with beautiful, vibrant colors, and is ideal for transitioning your wardrobe from winter to spring flawlessly.
This print is beautiful, but that scarf itself is smaller than I expected. I will have to play around with styling it because I am used to bigger scarves!

Yasi Metallic Flash Tattoos ~ $36. Get festival-ready in a flash! These gorgeous metallic designs are the perfect, chic accessory for all of your spring music festivals, beach vay-ks, and really anytime you wanna sparkle.
I feel like this $36 value is inflated - I found them on Amazon for $15.99 (currently on sale for $3) for the same sheet. They are cute, but i'm not sure that I would every use something like this!

Merrithew 3 DVD Set - Intense Body Blast + $25 gift card ~ $61. Blast your bod into bikini shape this season!
So I am really excited about this DVD set - I love pilates! This triple DVD set is worth $39.95 CAN and I will gladly use it. The gift card on the other hand cannot be used toward the $9 shipping cost to Canada. I tried to use it on an $18 DVD and it was not valid until I used the full $25 so I will not be using it! I don't understand including it in the value, if I have to pay out of my own pocket to use it!

Rifle Paper Co. Cities Coasters Set ~ $16. From coast to coast, you're sure to love this uh-dorable coaster set featuring illustrations of the world's most loved cities.
I looooove Rifle Paper Co. - their designs are always beautiful! These coasters are lovely!

Sprout It App Card + Miracle Grow Gro-able Seed Pod ~ $1.49. Spring is the perfect time to grow green! Miracle-Gro Gro-ables are all-in-one seed pods containing everything you need to grow your own veggies and herbs by simply removing the lid and placing in soil. Earn a green thumb with Sprout It, an app that makes gardening easier with reminders and tips from planting to harvest, customized to your location and garden.
I got "Cilantro" - yum! I love cilantro and I plan on starting my herb garden very soon, so this is great! I can't see myself using a gardening app though!

ORLY Nail Polish in "Cake Pop" ~ $8.50. This subtle pink creme color looks gorge on everyone, and will soon become your go-to hue.
This color is described as a white pink creme and I agree it is the perfect spring color! A nice light pink!

ORLY Nail BB Creme ~ $15. Like BB Creme for your face? Then you are going to love it for your nails! Nail the look of a natural mani with this time-saving, uber fabulous, all-in-one topical cosmetic treatment that helps to smooth, moisturize, and brighten natural nails with a super cute sheer peach tint.
I love this idea - natural nails are very trendy right now, they have been on all the red-carpets! I am looking forward to trying this out!

OFRA Cosmetics Eyeshadow Brush Duo (#11 & #20) ~ $45.90. Brush up on your makeup skills! It's time to spring clean your brushes because this new duo will make you a total new beauty pro!
Brush #11 is described as a concealer or an eyeshadow brush and #20 is described as wide shadow or foundation. I never generally treat myself to new brushes and am excited to get new brushes!

Palmetto Derma Collagen Booster and Restoration Serum ~ $48. Sun, smoke, and smog suck! But this spring, you're in luck because we're giving you a free radical fighting super serum to keep your skin safe from the daily elements. This powerful formula increases collagen growth, rapidly slows down the aging process, fills fine lines, and minimizes wrinkles once and for all!
Oooh, I love finding a good serum and the reviews look great! I am looking forward to using this serum!

Cosmos Creations Premium Puffed Corn ~ $1.49 *sponsored item*.
These are made with all natural ingredients, non-GMO corn, and are gluten free! They were delicious!

I do believe reading sponsored box posts, it appears that the American boxes got 2 additional gift cards - I believe they were not included in the Canadian boxes because both of the companies do not ship to Canada. I find this frustrating that they cannot find gift cards from companies that ship to both the States and Canada. So, as Canadians we pay more for this box and get less total value. (I'm not positive I would have used the gift cards, it would just be nice to have the option to use it!)

Altogether, FabFitFun valued this box at $273.89 - I included the Amazon retail price of the tattoos (not the $3 sale price), and did not include the $25 gift card - so my value of the Spring FabFitFun box is $232.83. This is still a very good value, there is no complaints from me in the value of the box.

For the most part, I was very happy with all of the items I received, the only thing I won't use is the tattoos and the gift card.

You can also check out my past reviews here to see what the other boxes are like!

  1. I totally agree on the merrithew.com "gift card" that is actually more of a discount/coupon. I put a DVD and tubing into my cart and shipping was over $20! After adding in the $25 code it took it off the item total and shipping was adjusted to $17... Maybe adding the card is a nice little extra, but it should be counted as that, not as part of the value of the box. :(

    1. Yes I totally agree - if they did't include it in the value and it was just a bonus then great, use it or don't! I'm glad you found something to buy with it - I may still get a DVD if I like the pilates one!
