Monthly Beauty and Book Haul ~ May 2023

Last year I set a monthly beauty and books budget at $200 per month and I really stuck to it! I am trying to be thoughtful in my purchases, so this has been holding me accountable for being reasonable with my spending. Since it worked so well last year, I'm really trying to do the same thing this year! 

I do always love my Monthly Haul posts - it's a good way to keep track of everything that I picked up each month. I don't always blog about everything I pick up (I try to), but if you ever spot anything in here that you really want me to talk about, let me know!

Shoppers Drug Mart Haul ~ $20.17 CAN. I have been saving some points for some new items launching and as soon as I saw these Benefit Bronzer and Blush Duos released, I had to place an order! I have been wanting a new skin tint and I liked the other product from the YSL Nu line, so I was excited to use my points on a luxury brand! The NYX Fat Oil Lip Oil and the Milani Concealer were hyped, so I had to try them too! Then I picked up two Sally Hansen x Gladd Pride polishes and I've already used the red (you can check it out here!) And I picked up a set of Quo press ons! 

Indigo Preorder ~ $16.50 CAN. I enjoyed Carley Fortune's first book, so I really wanted to pick up her second book, Meet Me At The Lake - this feels perfect for Summer and will get to this one soon! 

Amazon Find ~ $13.82 CAN. I've already raved about this - you can see this on my May Monthly Favourites. I picked this up for obvious reasons (it's Summer and I don't need any thigh or anything else rubbing thank you very much. 

May 2023 Owlcrate ~ $83.69 CAN. Alright, I forgot to take a picture of all the contents, but you can check out the list of items on my blog post, or I did a little video on my instagram, or my youtube channel too! 

Little Free Library Find ~ $0.00 CAN. found this at a little free library - it's been on my list to read for quite a while and excited that I found it in exchange for I book I passed on! 

June 2023 Lush Kitchen Box ~ $58.75 CAN. Spoiler alert - I haven't actually shared my video and post yet, but it's here and I will be sharing the full details asap! 

Indigo Preorder ~ $19.83 CAN. I loved Michelle Good's first book, one of my favourite books from last year, so I was excited to hear she was releasing a non-fiction this year and can't wait to get to this right away! 

This month I spent $212.76 CAN on beauty and books - this is right in line with my budget (thank goodness for points shopping, because this would have been a fair bit more! Excited about everything I picked up last month!
