Manicure Monday - The Little Mermaid Ariel Nail Art

Happy Manicure Monday everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! We got home from a little family trip and are gone back out for a quiet week at the family cabin and I'm so looking forward to a week of rest and relaxation (or however much I can actually get with a toddler!)

For this month's #CBBxManiMonday theme we are going with Summer Lingo prompts and I picked "mermaid" for my nails this week! I have been wanting to do Ariel or Little Mermaid nails forever!

And, after going on a little beach vacation for the week, these seemed like the perfect nails to do!

The products that I used for this week's Manicure are:

To create this nail look I started with base coat on all the nails, then I started with the pointer nail for Ariel's hair and this was nice and easy - I used two coats of red polish. For the middle finger, I started with a light, peach polish, then with a purple polish I created a shell bra shape and painted in the shell detail with a light purple polish. Then with a dark green, I created the top of the tail, and highlighted the top with a light green polish. Next is the right finger, which was the tail nail - I painted two coats of the dark green polish. Then, using the light green polish and nail art brush, I painted scales on the nail. For the tail fin on the pinky finger, I painted the nail with a light blue polish (I forgot to picture this one), then using the dark green polish, I created the bottom of the tail and tail fins, and I accented them with the light green polish. I finished all the nails with the nail art top coat.
