March Shop My Stash - Green St. Patrick's Day Makeup Look

I almost forgot that St. Patrick's Day was yesterday, with all the craziness that is going on! I did get a very green makeup look done by Shopping My Stash!

I rarely reach for greens when doing my eyeshadow, so I had so much fun doing this blown out green eye look! March is the perfect time to play with greens - St. Patrick's Day and the start of Spring, so let's will the warm weather and good vibes our way!

While this isn't a colour that I always play with, I'm so happy I did because I love how this look turned out and it makes me feel like I would play with this more. I saw a recent tip from Chelle on her How To Wear Bright Blue Eyeshadow video and it's all about deepening the shades and not just putting one colour all over - this is great advice for any shade, especially if you are a little nervous about wearing the shade!

For this eye look I started with eye primer and a mixture of Tragic and No Spots as a base shadow from the Misunderstood palette. Then, I applied Nottingham (a light greyish shadow) from the Robin Hood palette as a transition shadow, and then went in with a light green shadow, Meg from the Little Women palette through the crease and overtop, I applied Merry Men from Robin Hood all over the crease and outer corner. Then I used 101 from the Misunderstood palette and deepend the outer corner.

Then I cut the crease with a concealer and applied a glitter glue, just to make the metallic shadow pop! Then I applied Diablo from the Misunderstood palette all over the lid, Robin Hood lightly on the middle of the lid and Facile on the outer lid. Then I smudged Robin Hood and Meg on the lower lash line and applied the ColourPop Super Shock shadow in Mermaid Kisses to the inner corner. Then, I added a little touch with the gold liquid eyeliner over the cut crease to help it pop! And, I finished the look with brows, mascara, and liner on the lower lash line (Chella cream with green over top).

I started with the primer spray as the base, applied my Catrice foundation and YSL concealer. Then I set my under eye with the innisfree loose power and finished the face with the Guerlain pearls. Then I used the Wet n Wild bronzer, the lovely duo glow in the Natasha Denona powder as a blush and finishing the look with the Charlotte Tilbury highlighter. I applied a Bite Beauty nude lipstick and finished the whole look with the Wet n Wild Setting spray.

I love the depth that this look ended up with - I'm so looking forward to more fun monochromatic looks with that trick of deepening them! I love how fun and bright this turned out!

I hope everyone is doing well! How did you celebrate St. Patrick's Day yesterday? We dyed wine green and I made some shamrock pancakes - that's family and social distancing life!

  1. I love the gold liner at the top of the lid! I always forget to do something like that!

    1. I don't always add a touch like that either, but it just felt like it needed something and I didn't have the right glitter shade, so this worked well!
