Halloween Look - Pretty Glam Glitter Panda Makeup!

Happy Halloween month! I absolutely love doing Halloween makeup looks and this year I really wanted to do a Panda look; but, I had to glam it up a bit!

I just added a hint of glitter and blush to a fairly basic panda look to brighten it up a bit (plus, I usually have a hint of glitter in most of my Halloween looks!) I personally didn't really want a really white base as I find it can be too thick and hard to work over, so the faded white look was purposeful, but of course you pick the level of coverage you want!

The best part about this look is that it really requires only a couple of products - you can basically do the whole look with a white face base and a black shadow pencil or liner really. I used a few more products, but not too many! It was quite quick too! I actually have a small collection of headband ears for any quick last minute costumes. They are easy to find right now and affordable if you like a more D.I.Y. costume!

Here is a look at the products I used for this look:

-Lorac Pro Palette ~ just the black shadow (so use any black shadow you have!)
-LIT glitter in "Seeing Stars" and LIT clearly liquid glitter base
-ColourPop Bull Chic Lippie Stix (or any black lippie you have!)
-LIT white eyeliner
-White Cream Makeup (cheap from Halloween store, but you can use higher quality if you have it!)
-Too Faced Love Flushed Blush in Love Hangover
-NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Black Bean
-Make Up For Ever Aqua XL eye pencil in Matte Black
-BareMinerals Invisible Light Translucent Powder Duo (or any other light setting powder!)

To create the look was easy:
-Slick back hair and put on your ears
-Apply white makeup base (I used a damp sponge because I didn't want a streaky look and again, I wanted a lighter coverage!)
-Since this was a creamy product, I applied a decent layer of setting powder
-Using the nyx jumbo pen create a big circle around the eye - I used my eyebrow as the marker and traced around them and then followed that around for a circle. and fill in. Get as close to the lash line as possible!
-This is very creamy product, so I took a matte black shadow and patted on a generous layer to help set and colour.
-Still focusing on the eyes, I took my smaller black liner and lightly flicked lines around the edges to create a panda fur effect (If you aren't comfortable with this step, leaving full circles looks fine too!)
-Using either black liner, create a straight line across the nose and then fill in the whole tip of the nose area. Create a straight line down to the middle of the lip.
-For the lips, I used a black lipstick, but stick with the shadows if you don't have one! Then I used the small eyeliner to extend the mouth a little and dotted on a few freckles.
-Then, using the glitter and glitter base I applied a small amount around the eyes and to the lips as well!
-Then I tightlined the top of my eye with black, and bottom with white liner (this step isn't totally necessary if you don't like  tight-lining; but I think it looks more complete with no skin colour showing!
-And, I finished with a pop of blush!

Hope you liked the Panda look! What are you planning for Halloween?

  2. This is an adorable idea! I normally have my Halloween costume ready by August but this year I'm scrambling. I don't know why I didn't think to play around in my makeup bag!

    1. Sometimes is the easiest just to dive in to your own makeup bag!
