Makeup Product Review - NEW Benefit Cosmetics They're Real! Tinted Lash Primer

Benefit Cosmetics is releasing a NEW tinted lash primer on December 26, 2015 - although Topbox let some of it's subscribers have a sneak peek in the Benefit Prive box this month (also, Sephora has a bonus code as well for you to try it with an online order!)

I haven't used a lash primer in quite some time (I recall using them when they first came out and they were really white and hard to cover up with mascara), but this one is tinted brown so it should be much more wearable!

Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real! Tinted Lash Primer ~ sample size 0.1 oz for $10.33 (full size is 0.3 oz for $31). A mink-brown lash primer that tints, defines, and primes lashes for a natural, feathery look—plus, it can be paired with your favorite mascara for boosted length and separation. 

The brush is similar to the They're Real Mascara - it is not as hard though which is nice! The primer can be used alone for a natural lash look, or it can be worn underneath mascara to enhance it's performance - it does suggest you use it with They're Real Mascara; however, I'm not the biggest fan so I used it with the Benefit Rollerlash Mascara instead! 

I have tried the Benefit Cosmetics They're Real! Tinted Lash Primer both on it's own, and underneath mascara - here is a look at my before and after pictures:

For each of these, I used 1 coat of They're Real! Lash Primer, followed by 1 coat of Rollerlash Mascara.

I have to say, initially when using the They're Real! Lash Primer alone, I was not that impressed. My lashes are long and can easily get spidery with the wrong product. Wearing the primer alone made them stick together. However, after using only 1 coat of Rollerlash Mascara, I was impressed with the results! I usually need a couple of coats to get this effect and I really liked the results I got!! When I am done this sample, I will consider repurchasing this!
