September Fall 2014 Luxe Box by Loose Button Quarterly Beauty Box - Review and Unboxing

Luxe Box is a quarterly beauty subscription by Loose Button. It is a Canadian Company and they send out their beauty box at the start of each season. The cost is $26.00 Canadian per quarter ($27.30 with tax). Shipping is included in the price and I believe they currently only ship to Canada! The price is $25 a box if you sign up for 2 boxes and $24 a box if you sign up for a year (4 boxes). You will receive 7-8 sample size and full size products beauty product and tools.

This is my second Luxe Box (I was very pleased with the value of my Summer Box) - I love the idea of a quarterly box and that the Company is Canadian!

Here is a look at my Fall 2014 Luxe Box:

They always have the prettiest packaging! Comes in a nice box with a nice bag inside.

And, here is a closer look at the products I received:

So Susan Concealer Quad ~ full size $17. ($24 online). I like that this has 4 different shades so if you get a tan or for different parts of the face. Here is what the four shades looks like:

They are a little hard to see (sorry!) but, I like how smooth these are. I also like that fact that they don't go on too heavy - I prefer buildable coverage!

So Susan Universal Blush ~ full size $17. "A micronized jet-milled blush that works with your skin's natural chemistry to create a universal healthy flush that is flattering on all skin tones. Made with Buriti Fruit Oil to repair the epidermis and improve skin elasticity." I like the color of this blush - it is different than the few others that I have. It was too hard to photograph but I do think it would work well for a variety of skin tones, the only downside for some is it is quite shimmery.

Loose Button Fan Brush ~ $18 full size. I actually do not have a fan brush so this is good for me - use it to apply blush and bronzer to contours of face, or use it to remove shadow fallout.

Burt's Bees Lip Gloss in "Autumn Haze" ~ full size $12.99. I love Burts Bees - and actually for how many lip chaps I have of theirs (pomegranate is my must-have product) I have never actually tried their lip gloss! Here is what it looks like on:

I love the color I got - nice and neutral without being too nude and pigmented. It had just the right touch of coverage and shimmer. It was slightly sticky but not so much my hair got stuck! I liked it, but maybe not enough to switch over from my lip chap!

BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator ~ sample size 20 ml for $5.65 (full size is 120ml for $34). This "dramatically improve your skin's texture to reveal softer, brighter and younger looking skin. Brightens with powerful papaya enzymes to give radiance, exfoliates with dermatologist grade micro-crystals and gently cleanses with aloe vera, coconut and panthenol". This is highly reviewed and feels great! I have only used it slightly but I think I will like this cleanser!

En Root Hair Shine Serum ~ sample size 30ml for $4 (full size is 118ml for $15). This product is paraben and sulphate-free and infused with lots of goodies works to smooth fly-aways and frizz. This is a great product - my poor fine hair is always a little frizzy. I like that it made my hair smooth without being too greasy (I used the less is more philosophy). It also wasn't too heavy!

Vita Liberata Rapid 4-7 Day Tan Mousse ~ sample size 25 ml for $17 (I worked it to be $13 for the sample size as full size is 100ml for $52). You apply this and leave it on for 1-3 hours and then rinse off depending on the strength of the tan you want. This is the only product in the box that isn't really for me. I used to be a tanning nut and now am trying to embrace the pale - but I have had so many bad tanning products that I'm too apprehensive to try this!

So for $26 I received 7 products, 4 full sized, with a value of $91. Even without using the tanning product (I will find someone to use it!) that is not for me - the box still has a great deal. The items that weren't full sized were deluxe samples and there was a wide variety of products in the box! I am happy with my Luxe Box!

What did you think of the Fall 2014 Luxe Box?

  1. I received the Vasanti Brighten Up in a Topbox. I was pleased with the generous size of the sample, but after using it a couple of time on my face, I decided it was too harsh for me. My face hurt/stung for hours afterward.
I have put it in my shower and will try it as a body scrub.

    1. oh that's good to know - I have sensitive skin so I find it hard to find a good scrub that's not too hard on it - but I think it would work great as a body scrupb - good idea!
