September 2014 Square Hue Nail Polish Box - Review and Unboxing

Square Hue is a monthly nail polish subscription box. For $14.99 US + $9 shipping to Canada you receive 3 pre-selected trendy nail colors. The colors are based on a new theme each month, usually named after a city. Square Hue offers a 5-free formula - and a nice thing about this subscription is you can pause your account at any time.

I signed up for the September Box of Square Hue last month when I saw a coupon for a free box (you only pay for shipping) so I received this box for $9.

Here is a look at the September Square Hue Box:

  • Oxford Street ~ gold micro shimmer
  • Crown Drive ~ burnt orange micro glitter
  • King Street ~ brown high gloss creme

I'm not going to lie, I am a little sad that they all look brown to me - I was hoping for one brighter color!

The formula of the polishes seem nice and they will go on smoothly. I am disappointed with the colors in general - I would just never wear brown nail polish. I may keep it to use once in a while for nail art perhaps? The colors in the last few boxes were really nice and I think I just had my hopes set a little high.

I do appreciate that the three colors will pair nicely and are fall colors. I can't complain too much - I love nail polish and if I don't use these, someone else will!

Have you signed up for Square Hue? Or, what is you favorite nail polish box?
