Fall 2020 - The Jilly Box Subscription

Okay, I'm a big fan of Jillian Harris - I loved her on the Bachelorette, Love it or List it Vancouver, and even have her cookbook. So when she announced last year that she was starting a subscription box, I was so stoked. The first box was the Winter 2019 box and I waiting in an online queue for the whole day trying to get one and sadly, I did not so I have been waiting patiently for a random selection ever since - I finally got picked to receive a Fall box, not a subscription though, just a single box and either way, I was pretty excited!

Fall 2020 - The Jilly Box Subscription Unboxing
I purchased this box on my own

The Jilly Box is a quarterly seasonal subscription box - the products within the box include some of Jillian’s (and Team Jilly’s!) favourite items (and brands!) from home decor, fashion, bath and beauty, health and wellness, accessories perfect for each season. Some of the items included will be custom designed exclusively for the Jilly Box. The Jilly Box really focuses on including products from small, local businesses while being ethically sourced and inclusive. They also focus on reducing plastic waste and packaging - the big boxes can be turned inside out and reused!

The Jilly Box is $170 CAN quarterly + taxes and includes free shipping to Canada and the U.S. And, while this is on the pricier end for a subscription box, it will contain at least $400 worth of products! The box is shipped out prior to the start of each season - so the Fall box shipped in mid-August, the Winter box will ship in mid-November, the Spring box will ship in mid-February, and the Summer box will ship mid-May!

And, here's a closer look at the products in the Fall 2020 Jilly Box:

ANTP (All Things Naturally Pretty) Be Good. Long Sleeved Cotton Tee ~ $60.00 CAN. The comfiest addition to your Fall wardrobe! The ATNP x Jillian Harris Long Sleeved Be Good Boyfriend Tee!Super soft long sleeved cotton tee in classic heather grey with an original Jilly Digital graphic!

This is an adorable long sleeve shirt - it says be good. on the front and then has a cute print on the background. It is an oversized shirt and I had to size up to get a box, so mine is quite big on me; but, it's cute and comfy to wear around the house. Also, this brand is a women owned and run business based out of Vernon, B.C.

Jackson Rowe The Olive Scarf ~ $45.00 CAN. This bohemian style is a Jackson Rowe staple. It has a super soft cashmere feel. It is loosely woven in a delicate pattern with feathered edges. It can be used as a scarf in the winter and a shawl in warmer weather.

The light pink shade of this scarf was designed for the Jilly box and this scarf is gorgeous! It's huge; but, light and delicate and it seems so versatile! I love the shade of this and it's perfect for Fall. Jackson Rowe is a women owned shop in Vancouver, B.C.

This is a cute mini-diffuser and it's actually not something that I have already so I am excited. It also came with the Unwind harmonizing diffuser blend. This is cute and I like the classic Jilly light pink and I will get a lot of use out of this! Saje Wellness is a Canadian company also!

Barefoot Venus 100% Natural Mustard Bath ~ $21.50 CAN. Run a hot bath, add the mustard bath, inhale and relax. Let the therapeutic properties of mustard go to work pulling nasty toxins from your skin, while the spirit of wintergreen, eucalyptus and rosemary surround you in a curative cape, leaving for feeling top-notch.

I'm a big fan of Barefoot Venus and I've loved the products that I've tried from them! I haven't actually tried this or a mustard bath at all before but this sounds lovely and I'm all about bath night, so this product is perfect for me! So Pretty Cara Cotter Mini Honour Stud Earrings - Crystaline Quartz & Gold ~ $110.00 CAN. Inspired by modern royalty these mini hexagon crystaline quartz earrings feature a step cut stone measuring 9x7mm in size. They are set in heavy plated 18k gold over solid 925 sterling silver and are the perfect size for everyday wear.

These are a limited edition earrings with the stone chosen by Jillian - they are so gorgeous! I was excited for jewellery; but, I don't have my ears pierced anymore, so I won't be able to wear these. I will save them as a gift or see if someone who didn't get a box is interested in them! But, this is a women owned, Edmonton, A.B. based company!

Eluo Forma Rosea ~ $45.00 CAN + Eluo Application Brush ~ $18.00 CAN. A ritual for radiance, this multi-tasking powder blend instantly refines and hydrates dry skin, while encouraging cell turnover to minimize discolouration, and reveal a healthy, bright complexion.

I always love a good mask, so I'm very excited about this one - rose agrees with my skin! Also, I do love that they thought to include an application brush as well - I have a brush that was getting old so it was time for a new one! Also, this is a women owned company based out of Calgary, A.B.

For my first Jilly Box, I was very pleased! The box came with a value of $377.50 CAN; but, also a lot of the products included are exclusive or designed for the box - the shirt, the scarf, the diffuser and the earrings. Every company included is a Canadian brand, with many of them being small, local, women owned businesses and I absolutely love that! I'm really impressed and there was only one product that I couldn't use, but everything else will get lots of use!
