Winter 2019 FabFitFun - Lifestyle Subscription Unboxing

I restarted my FabFitFun subscription recently in the Summer and was excited to give the subscription another go! I really liked my Summer box and the Fall box was okay; but, I feel like I just unboxed it?! It's a little early for Winter to me (it's not officially Winter yet, so it could have waited until December at least to ship!

FabFitFun is a quarterly lifestyle subscription box full of fabulous finds in beauty, wellness, fashion, and fitness － hand-picked by the FabFitFun team! Each box will contain $200 or more in retail value. Each season's box (ships out around the start of each season) is $49.99 US plus $8.00 US for shipping to Canada (or free shipping in the U.S. and $10.00 US shipping to the U.K.) Or, you can subscribe for an Annual Membership for $179.99 US (plus shipping costs). 

Now, FabFitFun offers a few different customization choices each box; but, with an Annual Membership you get more customization options. I personally went with the Annual Membership as I was excited about the customization option myself, as I don't always love subscription boxes with too much variety with random products because I get annoyed when other boxes have products that I would have wanted and I got products I wouldn't use! 

Even the box this season's FabFitFun came in is pretty! Each box comes with a big catalogue detailing all the products and all the options. 

Here is a look at all the products I received in my Winter 2019 FabFitFun box:

This was a selection item between this set of shampoo and conditioner, a moisturizer, a throw blanket, a candle and a beanie and handwarmer set, so I think I made a good choice! I haven't tried this brand before and I've heard good things about it! I have only a couple of shampoos and conditioners that I think work really well, so I'm looking forward to seeing how these are! 

Drybar Prep Rally Prime & Prep Detangler ~ $30.00 CAN. A lightweight detangler that protects hair from heat (up to 450°F/232°C) and preps hair for optimal performance of styling products.

I tend not to love getting hair products in a subscription box, but I'm really excited about this! I use a detangler every time I wash hair and Drybar is a good brand that I haven't tried yet! This is the perfect hair product to receive for me in a subscription and this is - this will be in every subscribers box! 

Lashes MD Eyelash Conditioner ~ $69.95 US. A professional grade lash growth serum available without a prescription. LashesMD contains best-in-class ingredients for excellent results and safety. A professional grade eyelash enhancer available without a prescription.

This was a selection with a pair of slippers, a clay mask, and a shower speaker - nothing really jumped out at me in the category so I just picked the most beauty type product. But, I'm not actually sure that I will use this - I don't usually mess with my lashes so I may see if a family member or friend wants this! 

Beauty Bakerie Proof is in the Pudding Eyeshadow Palette ~ $38.00 US. This palette has subtle shades perfect for day wear and deeper shadows to transition to night. Our palettes are hard pressed so there’s minimal fall out, which means our products stay on your skin not your brush, Sweets! This palette is paraben-free and vegan.

This was another selection item with a balm to oil melt, a cross body bag and a 12 month planner and I was so excited to see an eyeshadow palette that I just jumped at it. But looking back, I should have picked the planner instead - I have so many neutral eyeshadow palettes and I haven't heard great things about this formula. This is pretty light overall and I just have a lot of makeup like this - I think I'm going to gift this which is a bummer - Beauty Bakerie is a brand that I've really wanted to try. 

Color Switch By Vera Mona Brush Cleaner ~ $24.00 CAN. Clean your brushes Instantly with our Color Switch Solo. No water or liquids needed. Stroke your brush against the Color Switch Solo sponge to completely remove eye shadow color. All Color Switch sponges are reusable and can be washed with water and soap. Vegan and Cruelty Free.

I was so excited to see this as a selection item - it was this or bath salts, or a body scrub, so I'm glad I got to pick this. I've heard so many people use this and like it, so I'm hoping that it works for me! 

Makeup Eraser - The Original MakeUp Eraser Makeup Remover Cloth ~ $26.00 CAN. A reusable, ultra-soft makeup remover cloth that erases makeup with only warm water.

I've tried a more affordable version of this cloth - the FaceOff cloth and I liked it, I thought it was effective at removing my makeup without a cleanser. But, as soon as you use it once, for me it's covered in makeup so you're either hand washing that night or waiting to put it in the washing machine. So, this isn't a daily type product for me, but what it is good for is when you are away for a night or two or camping, so I will use this at some point. This product will come in every subscribers box.

This is a surprise item - you either get this or a hand mask, and I would have personally preferred the masks. I thought this was a hand wash, but it's also supposed to be a body wash, which I guess a pump top is fine for - I will use this, but $40 US for a body wash is pretty steep!

Karuna Face For All Face & Eye Mask Set ~ $55.88 CAN. If you've been wanting to try Karuna's revolutionary face masks, now's your chance to try them all in the Face For All Set. This is a great face mask set - it comes with 6 face masks and 1 eye mask, so I'm really excited to try this brand out! Their masks sound great! This was a selection item between a bracelet, lashes or glow drops, so naturally the masks were a good pick for me! 

Overall I'm happy with the Winter 2019 FabFitFun box - this box is a little mixed for me, but the products I will use certainly make up for the ones I won't. And, what I won't use will actually be really nice to gift or pass on to others. Overall, my box value was $355.78 - this will probably seem a little higher than most; but, I I try and post in Canadian prices for products when available!
