Hot Tools One-Step Blowout Volumizer

While I focus so much on makeup and skincare, I tend to neglect my hair a little bit. It's so thin and fine, but long so there isn't much I can do with it. Also, last year my work implemented policy that I have to wear my hair up every day, so I rarely take the time to dry and style it ever!

So, I find it quite time consuming to blowdry and straighten my hair only to wear it up, so I've basically been airdrying it and just styling my bangs most days (and if I have plans on the weekend, I will take the time to actually do my hair, but that's rare!)

When I saw this brush and blowdryer combination from Hot Tools I was so excited!!! A product that drys, straightens and volumizes my hair in one go?! Count me in! Also, Hot Tools sent along a little curling iron too, which curling my hair is a pretty big treat if I ever get time to do it!

So this is basically a brush and blowdryer all-in-one that can straightening and add volume all in one go! And, I have to say right off the bat that this delivered on all of these for me and it did it quickly too! 

The oval shape of the brush is meant to provide the right shape to straighten, volumize and style - plus, the bristles are "silkglide" that gently grip hair to reduce breakage and add shine! 

I'm actually really picky about brushes - because my hair is so thin and fine, it is really prone to tangling and breaking, so I need something really gentle. And, I thought this was really nice. The brush was very gentle and didn't cause breakage - it was actually really nice to brush and dry at the same time, because often if I dry my hair alone I need to brush it a few times as it gets tangled, so this prevents that while being really gentle! 

This has the typical blowdryer settings of cool, low, and high. Personally I can use this tool in 10 minutes on high and have my hair dry. If I want to go in sections and more style and volume then it's around 15 minutes using a low setting tool. I always like to finish with a cool setting to set everything.

I was impressed with how quickly this worked and that it was still effective! My hair was dry and much more straight and less frizzy than if I just used a hair dryer, and then would have to go in with a straightener for the same effect. My hair type doesn't allow for a ton of volume; but, I did think this was effective at that, especially if you took the time to go section by section! 

One thing to note about the styler is that it is quite big, compared to using a brush, but it makes sense - it was just bigger than I initially expected it to be! It was still lighter than my hairdryer (the big Chi one), but a little heavier than some. I didn't find it cumbersome to use and it didn't feel overly heavy for me to use!

These seem like really nice curling irons - I happen to have the worlds flattest, straightest hair that is so fine it barely holds a curl. I could curl all my hair and by the end, it would be straight again! So, I did use this and it curled nicely - I just need a ton of texture spray to keep the hold, but it made nice spirals. 

I really like the addition of this curling iron having temperature setting, so depending on your hair texture and thickness, you can adjust the setting to the most suitable! I love that - I do have thin, fine hair and it can get fried if products are too hot! 

I was impressed with the quality of both of the products from Hot Tools! I absolutely love the blowdryer brush - it has easily replaced my blowdryer and I've been using it more than I ever use a blowdryer! I love it! And, the curling iron is nice too - it's just a tool that I use less often personally!
