If you've been around here for a while, you've already heard me rave about Cheekbone Beauty, but, if you are now, welcome - I love Cheekbone Beauty!
Cheekbone Beauty is an indigenous female owned Canadian brand and they are working towards their brand being-carbon neutral. Their goal is to lead by example and be a fully waste free company by 2023! The owner, Jenn Harper's story is pretty inspiring about overcome a struggle with alcoholism and Cheekbone Beauty is all about inspiring and helping indigenous youth - Cheekbone Beauty gives back to indigenous education initiatives in Canada.
I was provided the lipsticks for review and compensated to create a video for their release - this post contains a referral link
I joined their Warrior program (which is available to all consumers, not just bloggers!) and was so excited when they contacted me to try out some new shades to their Sustain Lipstick line (the Sustain Lipstick in Keyah was one of my Top 10 Makeup Favourites of 2020 - I love the gentle, easy to wear formula).
So, I was provided the lipsticks and compensated to create a little video for their launch - you can see it on Cheekbone's Instagram page! This blog post was not part of the deal; but, of course, I love the formula and could not wait to share the new shades here too - they are absolutely perfect for Spring and warmer weather! Also, these lipsticks are almost fully compostable (just the gold component needs to be removed) and are vegan!
Cheekbone Beauty Sustain Lipstick in Aina ~ $32.00 CAN. Aina (EYE-NAH) is the word for land or earth in the language of the Hawaiian Islands. Meet Aina, an irresistible pop of colour. This bright coral is a trendy shade delivering a lightweight, hydrating, irresistible glow that lasts all day long. Layer once to allow your natural lip colour to shine through or build for the desired level of fluorescent coral. Explore your beauty in a whole new way with this game-changing shade.
This is the same lovely, Sustain lipstick formula that I love - it's creamy on the lips and easy to apply - it's also not super matte or thick so you can layer depending on how much colour you want on the lips. It still adds a lovely pop of coral and it's perfect for Spring!
Here is a look at Aina swatched - this is one swipe so a good amount of colour pay off. I love the shade and I think it's a great colour for a variety of skintones!
(Also, I applied this to the cheeks and it looks really pretty too!)
Here is a look at the Aina on the lips (I'm wearing 3 light coats here) and I've also used it lightly as a blush here too where I've just blended it in with my fingers!
Cheekbone Beauty Sustain Lipstick in Haki ~ $32.00 CAN. Haki (HA-KEE) is the word for land or earth in the Lenape language. Meet Haki, your fresh new lip accessory. This buttery, highly pigmented, buildable lipstick can be applied subtly for a natural, flush lip or build up to your desired intensity. Haki is vivid pink crafted to bring out the warmth of your skin’s undertones while promising true colour for any skin tone.
This is another beautiful, bright shade that is perfect for Spring! I love pinks, but I usually shy away from bright pinks on my lips - this one though, because it's a light wash of colour that can be built up, it's super versatile, which I love! Again, beautiful easy to wear formula - I love this light formula because even when it does where off, it wears off pretty evenly and doesn't dry out the lips!
Here is a look at Haki swatched on my arm - it's a pretty bright pink that has me wishing for Summer dresses and warm weather!
Here is a look at Haki on the lips - this is two coats on my lips. I also have this as a blush on my cheeks too!
If you are interested in both shades, Cheekbone has them bundled right now, so you can buy both for $49.00 CAN, instead of paying $32.00 each, which is a good deal!
Also, if you are a new customer and want to save 10% - I have a code: http://w.zube.me/2266d06 and it will get you 10% off your first purchase (it is a referral code, so I do earn points if you use this!)
I love both shades on you! Mine should be arriving soon!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I love them - especially the coral!
