These new Color Icon 10 pan eyeshadow palettes were crazy hyped up when they were released in December, and I have been waiting impatiently to get my hands on them! They were so hard to find in Calgary, that as soon as I found them online, I scooped them up right away!
I'm slowly collecting all the palette to try and review; but, I had to start with the Rose in the Air palette because it was by far the most talked about (it looks so much like the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette) - it is gorgeous!
I will be honest, prior to picking a few of these palettes up, I didn't have a drugstore eyeshadow palette in my collection. I'm such a Sephora shopper, that I can kind of get stuck in products from brands I'm used to! Blogging has really opened my world of makeup up and I know there are some really great products that are less expensive and I'm so hopeful these are going to live up to the hype!
Wet n Wild Rose in the Air Color Icon Eyeshadow 10 Pan Palette ~ $6.99 CAN/4.99 US. Powerfully pigmented, buttery-soft, glides on like a dream. That’s what we dreamed up with our reformulated Color Icon eyeshadows. Our reformulated Color Icon hues come in a mix of coveted colors, from shimmery daytime hues to sultry shades for cocktail hours—including new matte transitional shades for impeccable blending.
I love the color combo of this palette (no surprise, I love the Modern Renaissance palette too...)! I like the layout of the palette too and how the transition shades are the biggest in the palette. I hate when the biggest shades are the lightest or super shimmery - these are what most people are going to use in their crease! Also, on top of being super affordable, Wet n Wild is cruelty free as well!
I'm really impressed with the fact that this palette is only $7 Canadian! I don't have any previous experience with Wet n Wild eyeshadows, so I can't compare it to their past formula; but, it is said to be more pigmented, creamier, and more blendable from their previous formula!
These are really nice shadows - I thought they swatched decently, this is all with one swipe with no primer. They were really smooth and applied really nicely on the eyes. The pigmentation is great and they shadows can still be built up and blended out well. I was really impressed with the quality!
The only thing I wish is that these shadows had names, so I could tell you which ones I used to create this look! I actually think they are numbered; but, I tried to use as many as I could in this look! I love how these shaodws applied and how the final look turned out!
I'm really happy with the eyeshadow palette and I think it was worth the wait to find in Canada! I have only just started dipping in to the other palettes too, so I will see if the quality is the same on those palettes too and share my thoughts eventually. But, if you spot this in a store near year, I would recommend picking it up (if the shades appeal to you!)
Other products I used for this look are:
-Dior Forever Undercover Foundation
-Pixi Mattelast Liquid Lipstick in Really Rose
-Make Up For Ever Blush Powder in S214 "Rosewood Blush"
-Esqido Lashes in BFF
If you are looking for any reason to re-introduce yourself to Wet n Wild, this palette is the way to go! What a great palette at an amazing price point!

DeleteI love the colours in this palette, they're definitely the main ones I'm always drawn to. It's such a steal at $7, I may just have to grab it once I go off my no-buy.
ReplyDeleteI love the look you did with it! And I second Chelle's comment, you're such a knockout!!! And your lashes, *lash envy*!!!
Thanks Chantal! I definitely thought I included that I was wearing lashes for this look - but mine aren't that long :) It is so good for $7!
