Manicure Monday - Abstract Brush Stroke Nail Art

Happy Manicure Monday! I haven't been feeling super inspired with nail art lately because my nails are sooo short and I always find nail art harder with little nails! But, I went through my Instagram searching for inspiration and went waaaay out of my comfort zone with this Mani (and I love it!)

I take no credit for the design of these nails - this is all NinaNailedIt inspired - I have talked about her nails a bunch of times! She is basically a nail art goddess (and she partners with Scratch for their Monthly Mani Kit designs). So, thank you Nina for giving my inspiration and getting me out of my comfort zone!

It might seem weird that this is out of my comfort zone - I'm not great at just winging it with nail art and being a little more abstract. But, this was surprisingly easy and fun to do!

The products I used for this week's nails are:
-Teeez nail polish in "Pretty in Pyrite"
-Trust Fund Beauty nail polish in "I'm Kind Of A Big Deal"
-Wet n Wild wildshine nail colour in Black Creme
-Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Topcoat
-Sally Hansen Hard as Nails in White Out
-nail dotting tool (not pictured)
-nail cleanser and base coat (not pictured)

This mani was pretty easy to do! Start with nail cleanser and base coat, the apply 2 coats of white base polish and let dry well. Then taking the pink polish and remove the majority polish, leaving just a little on the brush, then keep the tip of the brush at the edge of the nail and just swoosh it in towards the middle of the nail. Then repeat with the gold polish - you can place them in all different spots on the nail! Then, I just applied a solid line of the black polish and finished up with a couple of gold dots where there was a little blank space. Let dry well and apply top coat!

I love how these turned out - so fun and really easy to do! You could so easily switch this up with any base colours or top colours and it would look great!

What do you think? Do you like this more abstract nail art look?
