Manicure Monday - Polka Dot Heart Nail Art

As if I really need an excuse to use pink in anything; but, since February is the month of Looooove, I'm feeling all the pink and hearts and everything pretty! It's funny actually, my husband and I do not celebrate Valentine's Day (unless you count ordering a Papa John's heart shaped pizza as celebrating), but I still love all the cute heart and lovey-dovey things that come out this month!

I'm starting this month with a cute little polka dot heart nail art look! I needed something simple and cute, since I broke a nail with the car door and a couple others chipped corners on our trip! (So, sometimes it's nice to make them all the same length and have a fresh start!)

For this Manicure, I used:
-ORLY polish in Cake Pop (light pink)
-Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear in Fuchsia Power (dark pink)
-Formula X nail cleanser and base coat
-Sally Hansen gel polish top coat
-dotting tool

I started with my nail cleanser and base coat, then applied 2 coats of my light pink base polish. Then using my dotting tool, I create a heart shape with little connected dots and then filled in the hearts with little dots. Let dry well and finish with a top coat!

I think it's a pretty good way to start the month! Are you feeling all the pink and hearts this month too?
