Five on Friday - February 3, 2017

Happy Friday everyone! Hope you have had a great week!

ONE

I'm still getting my Ipsy subscription for January and February, but I just can't be bothered to write a whole post about my Glam Bag! I don't mean to sound really negative, but I'm just not excited enough about this month's bag to write a whole post, but I do still want to share a quick look at what I got!

January's theme is "Metropolis" and the 5 products I got this month are:
  • Purlisse Blue Lotus Seed 5-in-1 mud mask + exfoliant sample
  • Trust Fund Beauty Lip Gloss in Method To The Madness sample
  • SLMissGlam Blend Beauty Brush L34
  • Smashbox Cosmetics Camera Ready BB Cream SPF 35 in Light sample
  •  Pretty Woman Nail Polish in "I Can't Deal"
If you would like to view my past Ipsy reviews, you can go here.

TWO

February brings Valentine's Day and I love some bold looks - if you haven't checked it out yet, I hope you will check out my how-to post on Red Glitter Lips!

I know we don't actually do much on Valentine's Day here - you can catch me ordering a heart shaped pizza and sharing it with my husband and son! Do you plan anything exciting for Valentine's Day?

THREE
Talking about the blog still, I posted a new post type yesterday - What I Bought in January - or a monthly haul post! What do you guys think? Am I doing too many end of the month posts? I wasn't sure, but I think I really like it - it's actually good to look back and see everything that I am purchasing and what I should review or not!

FOUR

Canada is celebrating it's 150th Birthday this year! I think this year is a really good time to be proud to be Canadian and celebrate our country and our values!

For the whole year, Parks Canada is offering free park passes to everyone - I love being close to a lot of national parks in Alberta and I will make sure I get out and enjoy them (especially this year!)

Also, there is a few other ways to celebrate Canada's birthday - my local library is doing giveaways and challenging everyone to #read150 this year. Also there is a fun challenge through ParticipACTION - sign up and work your way towards completing 150 Canadian activities on the "play list"! There is actually some really fun activities on there and some ones I have never heard of before!

FIVE
I know last week I posted about wearing a blood pressure monitor and I feel like I just can't catch a break with my pregnancy and all of these tests! I still haven't seen my doctor for the results of the blood pressure machine, but I now have to go back for more blood work (this is the 5th requisition form - yay me) and now this time, they have to take my blood 3 times in 2 hours! Holy! I am terrified of needles and it does not get any easier doing it all the time! I will keep everyone updated, and keep your fingers crossed that all is well!

I hope everyone has a great weekend - mine will be a quiet one as I do have my appointment and some medical stuff to do the day before it as well. Hopefully it is a relaxing weekend still! Enjoy!
