August 2016 Topbox - Review and Unboxing

TopBox is a Canadian Beauty Box Subscription - for $12 CDN a month with free shipping, you will receive 4 deluxe sample size or full size products. You fill out a beauty profile and generally receive products based on what you have identified in the profile. Also, every month you have the option to wish for a "prive" box, which is a box that focuses on one brand or product for the whole box.

Each month comes with a couple variations, so you may not receive exactly the same products as me, but generally 1 or 2 are the same throughout all the bags. 
TopBox is a Canadian company and only ships to Canada. There is usually a month or two waitlist for this subscription. 

For August, I requested a regular Topbox - here is a look at what I received: 

At first glance, this box has a couple of really similar products to some I have seen over the last few months - I do like them, so here is a look at what I received:

Manna Kadar Radiance Split Pan Bronzer and Highlighter Duo ~ full size $21.00 US. Create a sun-kissed glow with our Radiance Bronzer and Highlighter Duo. This 3-in-1 product in a universal shade can be used as a bronzer, highlighter, or eyeshadow.  

While I like the highlighter shade, I don't use bronzers. I likely wouldn't use this so I will pass it on. 

Smashbox Photo Finish Oil Free Foundation Primer Pore Minimizing ~ sample size 0.25 oz for $12.50 (full size is 1 oz for $50.00). Say goodbye to visible pores! Prime to perfection, plus dramatically blur and reduce the appearance of pores instantly and for up to 8 hours. 

So we did recently get a smashbox primer; however, this is a different kind. I do like the smashbox primers so I am happy to try this. 

Novex Argan Oil Deep Conditioning Hair Mask ~ sample size 3.5 oz for $1.68 (full size is 35.3 oz for $16.99). Enhanced treatment to restore shine and smoothness on hair without frizz or split ends. This product is enriched with pure Argan Oil and Vitamin E.

We did very recently receive a Novex hair mask in a Topbox - this is an agran oil hair mask so they are a little different. I don't use hair masks a ton, but this is something I will get around to using. I don't mind repeat brands or similar products but I think there should be a 4-6 month wait in between.

Mereadesso Beautiful Body Balm Travel Size ~ $18.00. A high performance, non-greasy, all over body balm, hand moisturizer and foot cream for men and women of all ages and skin types.Beautiful Body Balm improves your skin’s texture and enhance elasticity. 

Mereadesso is an expensive brand - this is a travel size item and the full size lotion is $54. Am I the only one that thinks that's a little crazy?! Don't get me wrong, I will spend good money on face products, but I just can't see a $50 body lotion being worth it. Anyways, I will use this, but body lotion is body lotion. 

Topbox came with 2 products this month (2 full size) with a total value of $53.18! I'm happy with this month's box as I will use the majority of the products - I do wish that there was a little more variety as 2 of the items were very similar (brands and products) to items received in the past couple of months.
