Happy Manicure Monday - this month the Canadian Beauty Bloggers group is focusing on a Purple theme!
I decided some purple nails would fit right it! And, I tried a new sponge mani technique:
Here is a look at the products I used for this week's nails:
-Formula X nail cleanser, base coat and top coat
-Ceramic Glaze polish in Petal Pusher (medium purple)
-Essie polish in Under The Twilight (dark purple)
-Essie polish in Go Ginza (light purple)
-not pictured - makeup sponge ripped up
To do this manicure, I started with nail cleanser and base coat. I followed with 2 coats of the lightest purple polish - let this dry very well!
Then start with ripped up pieces of a makeup sponge:
I painted a light amount of polish on the sponge and dabbed in over the nail. I started with the medium purple, followed with the dark purple and a light coat of the light purple to tie it all together. (I used different pieces of sponge for each colour!)
While this isn't exactly how I thought my nails would turn out, I like the look! Here is a close up:
Happy Monday everyone!
