It's hard to believe that it's already been a year since we were in Los Angeles and Anaheim for our family vacation! I could go back every year to California for a vacation - I always enjoy myself!
While we have visited Universal Studios every time we are on a California vacation, this is the first time that I've actually stayed in Los Angeles for a couple of days. We thought with a big group of us and a baby, that it was easier to spend a few days instead of trying to do a long day trip!

I had such an amazing Christmas with my favorite boys! Damian and Elliott were a blast opening presents and were so much fun! Mitch got to be home in the morning and watch the boys open their presents, and then he had to work. But, we are so used to shift work, so it's not a big deal! My family came over and spent the night with up and it was perfect!

Are you guys all ready for Christmas?! I got the last of our gifts and stocking stuffers this week and we are ready to go! I will do all my wrapping and prep this weekend; but, we are good! It's relieving not to have to go out and get anything this weekend!

I really tried to plan ahead and get us funny outfits to wear for our Christmas cards and our reindeer onesies are great and the cards turned out fun. But, I've been so damn busy that I did not make good timing to send them out to most people this year! Ugh - I don't know how people get everything done with toddlers and work because I clearly can't keep up!

We just got all decorated for Christmas last night!!! It was so much fun - although, a little crazier with a toddler in the midst! I absolutely love Christmas, so we had Bing Crosby Christmas tunes playing for hours while we got set up! Ah...
I'm always a little slow getting to writing my travel posts; but, I have been meaning to write this since we got back from Disneyland! I love Disneyland so much - it sounds so cheesy, but it is always so magical and fun!
So January of this year, we took a big family vacation to Los Angeles and Anaheim for a week! We went with our family of 4 that included a baby under one, my mom, my step-dad, my teenage brother and his service dog. Plus, we met my sister and her husband there too!

Before we move on to November, I have to reflect on the best day of October - HALLOWEEN! This year the whole family was Ninja Turtles and I was so excited there is finally 4 of us for the whole gang to have a costume!
Elliott loved his Halloween costume and pretty much wore it all day! We went to the mall in the morning to play with his friend, had the grandparents stop by before nap and then wore it again for trick-or-treating! Mine has been crazy - my older son and I went to Penticton on Saturday to surprise my Dad for his 60th birthday, had a party and then came home on Sunday evening. Then, right after I got home, I left the next morning for 3 days in Edmonton for work! I got home late on Wednesday so Thursday and Friday were a total whirlwind! Ugh, I need a weekend!

Hi everyone! I'm so happy it's the weekend - this week has been crazy busy! We were out of town all of last weekend, so it just feels like all week we've been trying to play catch up and I need a weekend day to relax and get stuff done around the house! Is relaxing even a thing with a 1 year old around the house?! also he has been up every day this week at 4 or 4:30 am and I don't even know what to do with myself....

Ahh... this past weekend we went and stayed at the in-laws cabin in Fairmont and enjoyed a great weekend with family and friends. We took the little ones to the Fairmont Hot Springs, kayaked down the Columbia River and enjoyed some relaxing time while we could!

My palette of the week for April 30 - May 4 was a customizable Buxom palette. So, I ordered this palette almost a year and a half ago from Sephora when they had a crazy deal on - you picked 6 shadows and the palette for $20. But, I haven't actually used this palette since I picked it up! Embarrassing, I know.... So, I thought I should try it right away and see if I like it or not!

Alright, this was my first week back to work and it was a doozy! I'm actually going in to a whole new position so there is a lot of new information and it's a lot to take in! I will get the hang of it; but, there is also a lot of new staff to get to know as well and it's different getting back in to everything! Buuuuut, on top of that, Elliott just got his first molar and this week has been hell - he is teething so bad that he has been up at 4:30 every morning! Ah - fingers crossed next week he sleeps better!

We took Elliott for a little Cake Smash session today! In Calgary, if you take your child's passport pictures at The Village Studio, right now you get a free cake smash session for their birthday! (Highly recommended for infants passport's pictures too!) They would have provided a cake; but, I really wanted to flex my baking and cake decorating skills (I used to bake all the time!)
