Monthly Beauty Favourites ~ August 2023

Here's a look at what I've been loving this past month:

The Conair waver was received as a PR sample - this post contains affiliate links

Last year I started just picking any number of products I'm loving, instead of trying to find 5 each month (which I did previously!) So, whatever number of products I'm loving, that's what I will be sharing.

I've been slower at using and trying out new products, so naturally my Favourites have been on the smaller side lately (and I'm totally fine with that) - here's a closer look at what I've been loving this month:

Conair Double Ceramic Triple Barrel Waver ~ $39.97 CAN. This Waver is designed to create deep, beautiful, gorgeous, continuous, uniform waves. The higher double ceramic technology delivers even heat for fast styling and long-lasting results with less frizz. With 30 heat settings that instantly heat up to 375 Degrees, including Turbo Heat boost for difficult to style spots.

If you've been following my posts, you know I've rocked the wavy/curly hair since I've gotten this triple barrel waver last month! I absolutely love that this hair style is back - these were popular in the early 2000's and I could never afford one, so I'm excited that they are back and they are affordable! I love this and I love how my hair looks using this!

L’Oréal Paris Bond Repair Rescue Pre-shampoo Treatment ~ $11.49 CAN. An intensive rinse off treatment and the first step of the revolutionary new Bond Repair hair care routine to be used before shampooing. This pre-shampoo over saturates hair with Citric Acid to rebuild inner broken hair bonds and strengthen the hair from the inside out.

L’Oréal Paris Bond Repair Sulphate-Free Shampoo ~ $11.49 CAN. This Sulphate-free shampoo¹ forms the second step of the new Bond Repair haircare routine. Gently wash your hair while reinforcing inner broken hair bonds.

L’Oréal Paris Bond Repair Conditioner ~ $11.49 CAN. This conditioner forms the third step of the Bond Repair haircare routine. This caring conditioner boosts hair with Citric Acid while sealing the cuticle for maximum care of the hair fibre. Hair is made up of millions of bonds that give it structure and strength. When hair bonds break through brushing, bleaching, heating, and styling, hair becomes weak and damaged.

This is a whole hair system that I heard was compared to Olaplex - I don't have Tiktok, so I rely on my friends to hear about viral products! I was pretty excited to try this and honestly, this is lovely on my hair. You start with the pre-rescue shampoo treatment and leave that on for five minutes, use this shampoo like normal and then leave the conditioner on for 5 minutes. This just leave my hair so soft, but strong and really healthy! (Also, I've never used Olaplex so I can't speak to the comparison, but I can say I really enjoy this system!)

La Jolla Cove Bronzer Stix ~ $10.00 US. Get an instant sunkissed glow with our super creamy bronzer stick that delivers a natural-looking matte finish.

I wasn't sure if I'd ever like a cream bronzer formula having only tried one before and not enjoying it at all; but, I thought I'd give this a try because it came in a trio and I wanted to try these from Colourpop. Aaand, I really like it! This applies so well, wears super well and looks so natural on the skin! Overall I'm really happy with this and you've been interested in trying a stick bronzer, I would recommend this one! Also, while not here, the blush and highlighter are great too!

What were you loving this month?!
