Monthly Beauty & Book Haul ~ March 2022

I'm switching up my Monthly Haul posts a little bit this year, because I'm actually *trying* to stick to a bit of a budget! I've been going a little crazy on the beauty and books front, so I just want to be a little more thoughtful in my purchases. So. I'm trying to keep my beauty and book purchases to $200 a month - we'll see!

I do always love my Monthly Haul posts - it's a good way to keep track of everything that I picked up each month. I don't always blog about everything I pick up (I try to), but if you ever spot anything in here that you really want me to talk about, let me know!

Hindash Order ~ $131.14 CAN. Okay, one of the brands on my list to try this year was Hindash and when this palette was released last month, I knew that this was the palette I had to try! This order was actually $102.74 from the Hindash website and I had to pay $28.40 in duties and taxes, which added on to the order. This is the Monochromance and it took a little while to get to me, but I'm excited to try this very soon!

Indigo Order ~ $22.67 CAN. I really love V.E. Schwab's books so I was very excited for this new release and I love that Indigo was able to offer a signed first edition. This was just released on March 1 and I just finished it and loved it - review to come soon! Very different, kind of creepy haunted house vibes!

Book Depository Order ~ $12.52 CAN. When Madeline Miller announced that her short story, Galatea was being released in print, I knew I had to pick it up! It's just a tiny little thing, but I finished it and enjoyed the story (look at me, reading two brand new releases right away this month!!)

Shopper's Drug Mart Order ~ $0.00 CAN. I used a lot of my points on this order to pick up a few goodies I needed and wanted to try! I wanted to give this Monday Hair Care a try, needed some restock of mascara, razors for travel, newer pretty Pixi products and some new dry shampoo!

Amazon Mask Order ~ $9.63 CAN. I saw Jayne from CosmeticProof post about these and I knew I wanted to try them as well! These are new Garnier masks and I love the packaging and branding of these - I will hopefully review them soon!

Facebook Auction Books ~ $4.00 CAN. Ooooh, I love a good $1 book auction finds - these have all caught my eye, so I'm looking forward to getting to them and love finding used books on sale!

Books Between Friends ~ $11.00 CAN. Oh look, more used book finds! I read this Stealing Shadows book like 20 years ago, and found out it was a little trilogy, so I had to pick up the others and found them at my favourite used book store! Plus, Snow Falling on Cedars has also been on my to-read list!

Indigo pre-order ~ $14.18 CAN. I watch a whole bunch of books I'm excited for and if they ever go on sale, I scoop them up instantly! This book has been out for a little bit, but this paperback version is brand new (just released on March 28) - I don't always need a matching set of books for covers, but I very much love these versions and how they all go together! I'm currently reading book one and hoping to finish all of these quickly!

Scratch April Monthly Mani Kit ~ $19.30 CAN. Okay, I had stuck to my budget to a "T", but I forgot that Scratch charges at the end of the month for their subscription, so I'm paying for the April set at the end of March. I loved this design so much, so I had to order them!

Free Library Finds ~ $0.00 CAN. My little and I love to cruise around to little free libraries and exchange some of our books for new ones and we did this recently and I found some good finds! Glorious Frazzled Beings is new, The Family Upstairs is great and the other two caught my eye! Exciting finds!

Alright, I spent $224.44 for the month - a pinch over my budget, but honestly you guys, this is probably the best 3 months I've ever had sticking to a budget so I'm feeling pretty proud! Let's hope I can keep it up!
