I'm switching up my Monthly Haul posts a little bit this year, because I'm actually *trying* to stick to a bit of a budget! I've been going a little crazy on the beauty and books front, so I just want to be a little more thoughtful in my purchases. So. I'm trying to keep my beauty and book purchases to $200 a month - we'll see!
I do always love my Monthly Haul posts - it's a good way to keep track of everything that I picked up each month. I don't always blog about everything I pick up (I try to), but if you ever spot anything in here that you really want me to talk about, let me know!
Sephora Sale Order ~ $70.68 CAN. This order was mainly placed to pick up a few travel sized items for my upcoming trip - I needed a primer, setting spray and face mist I could travel with. The neck massager was somewhat of a spur of the moment purchase as Sephora Collection was also 30% off so I couldn't resist trying it. The other items were just the points add ons.
Fevered Star Pre-Order ~ $22.49 CAN. I have been eagerly anticipating the release of Fevered Star after loving Black Sun so much in 2020 - I need more of these characters, and the first book left on a cliffhanger. So, I pre-ordered this and can't wait to dive in right away!
Pages Book Order ~ $15.75 CAN. Pages is an indie bookstore in Calgary and I love their selection of used books. I was making a purchase for my nephews birthday and found a copy of Dewdrop and The Twelve Dancing Princess and Other Fairy Tales. Both are in great condition!
April Owlcrate ~ $65.77 CAN. I've taken a step back from getting an Owlcrate every month to only picking them up when the theme or the book sound appealing to me and like something I'd actually read right away! Of course, this month's theme and book with Behind the Curtain and all the books the items were based on were a no-brainer, I had to pick one up!
May Monthly Mani Kit ~ $19.76 CAN. I love my Scratch nail wraps, but I've selective of which months I buy - the designer, NinaNailedIt makes the prettiest floral designs. I loved these ones, so I'm excited for these next month!
I spent $194.45 this month - again, I'm impressed I've managed to stay this close to my budget for this many months! I might go slightly over next month with my trip to Italy, but I will do my best!
