Paula's Choice Pore Clarifying Charcoal Gel Mask ~ $30.00 US. Balance oily skin and decongest pores with charcoal and natural clays suspended in a soothing gel mask for a refreshed, shine-free complexion.
I have featured quite a few charcoal masks on here; but, I'm always excited to try more from different brands and find the best formula for me! Charcoal masks are great for clogged pores and drawing out impurities. For me, this is generally a concentrated problem to my nose/cheeks and chin so I do tend to concentrate on those areas and love charcoal masks to clear those areas out!
This mask is a straight forward was off mask to use - wash face and dry face, apply a generous layer all over face, allow to dry for 10 to 15 minutes, rinse off well with water, and complete skincare routine!
This mask is a really unique charcoal mask formula - it is a gel texture so it goes on the skin quite light compared to other charcoal masks that I have tried before! It did dry down; but, it didn't feel too tight or uncomfortable on the skin - it wasn't so dry it was cracking and falling apart. Apparently the gel formula is to help keep the skin balanced and hydrated while mattifying and clearing the skin.
I really liked the light formula of this mask - I find charcoal masks can tend to feel heavy and tight on the skin generally. That was not the case at all. This was also easy to rinse off because it was such a light formula! I thought the results were good - my pores around the nose were clear and my skin did not feel tight or uncomfortable after wearing this!
Paula's Choice Rehydrating Moisture Mask ~ $30.00 US. Smooth, soften and hydrate dry, distressed skin instantly with plant oils and amino acids that create a moisture-locking barrier. This mask is a replenishing last step in your routine for immediate moisturization and lasting hydration.
I love hydrating masks - this is a dual purpose mask that can be used as a rinse off mask or as an overnight mask! This mask uses a combination of plant oils, antioxidants, amino acids and glycerin to replenish and hydrate the skin!
Again, this is a dual purpose mask! To use it as a rinse off mask - apply a generous layer of the mask, wear for 20 minutes and rise off well. Or, use this as the last step in your skincare routine, leave on overnight, and rinse off the following morning!
I used this both as a rinse off mask and as an overnight mask! As a rinse off mask it was fine! I think this is a great option if you have been outside in the elements all day (sun, wind, etc) apply a layer and let your skin get refreshed! I did like it as an overnight mask - I found it to be a gentle hydrating formula - thicker than a moisturizer; but, not too thick so it absorbed well in to the skin. I thought it worked well and kept my skin feeling really soft and hydrated in the morning!
Overall, I'm really happy with these masks - they were gentle formulas making them easy to use for multiple skin types!
