December 2016 Ipsy Glambag - Unboxing and Review

Ipsy is one of the original inexpensive beauty bag sample subscriptions. You receive 4-5 deluxe sample size or full size products each month. The cost is $10 US (+ $4.95 shipping to Canada - you will have to factor in our crazy exchange rate right now!)

Ipsy is generally make-up products with a mix of skincare, nail polish, and hair products based on a beauty profile you complete. There is usually 12-18 products that are selected from each month! You can view your "glam room" online that tells you all the products you will receive each month. You also receive a make-up bag each month with your products.

Ipsy always ships out in it's signature pink mailer, and here is a look at what came inside!
This month's theme is "Carpe P.M."  - and this came with an adorable pink textured ipsy bag that could also be a little clutch!

Here is a closer look at the products I received:
December 2016 Ipsy Glambag - Unboxing and Review
Tarte cosmetics - Tarteist™ glossy lip paint in "wcw" ~ sample size 1 ml for $4.75 (full size is 6 ml for $28.50). Snow queens, rejoice! This glossy (but not too glossy) berry color nourishes and soothes dry lips—and gives a perfect pop of plum to winter whites.

I like this colour - it's described as berry and that is perfect for Winter. I like this, and I love seeing Tarte in this bag, but this sample size is very small.

Benefit Cosmetics - The POREfessional face primer ~ sample size 3 ml for $4.23 (full size is 22 ml for $31.00). Quickly minimize the appearance of pores & fine lines for smoother-than-smooth skin! Apply this silky, lightweight balm alone, under or over makeup. The translucent formula contains a vitamin E derivative known to protect skin from free radicals.

Again, I am happy with the brand; but, this sample is super small! This is an okay product, but I will not get many uses out of this sample.

NIP+FAB - Glycolic Fix Serum ~ sample size 20 ml for $16.61 (full size is 30 ml for approx. $24.92 CAN). The 4%. This serum works while we sleep to smooth, brighten, and exfoliate with 4% glycolic acid, a gentle alpha hydroxy made from cane sugar. It’s the best bedtime story.

I really like other Nip + Fab products that I have tried and I always use different kinds of serums so I am excited to try this!

mPrincess - Mineral Eyeshadow in "Melting Maple" ~ full size 1.2 g for $15.00. Pigment? Yes, please. Get intense color in a single swipe thanks to this incredibly creamy shadow. Sweet like syrup. Soft maple-brown shade looks great in the crease to add depth and intensity. Keep it smooth. Real smooth. Easy to blend (and easy on the eyes).
All that color, but nothing to keep lids down. Lightweight formula that’s made to last.

I do generally prefer pressed shadows over loose shadows - but, this colour is really pretty! I am happy that this is a full size shadow!

MicaBeauty - Angle Eye Shadow Brush ~ full size brush $22.95. That brush is too poofy. That brush is too skinny. But this brush is just right for applying shadow in the crease and along the lashline. Goldilocks would approve.

This is nice little angle brush and I am excited to try it out! It is nice and soft!

Ipsy came with 5 products - (2 full sized), and a total value of $63.54. This bag was pretty good - I like the lip gloss, serum, eye shadow, brush and I will use the primer! A couple of the samples are a little small, so I'm glad they balanced it out with some full sized products!
