Halloween Look - Unicorn Makeup!

Happy Halloween! I love this time of year! I will be featuring a few fun makeup looks throughout the month!

I love Unicorns and thought I could have a lot of fun with a very pink and glittery look!

The main part of this costume is the headband! I didn't make myself because I'm not crafty - I wish that I could make this! But it you can, you should make it! I ordered mine form LittleLapins on Etsy. It shipped very quickly! (these are made for kids, but the headband fit me just fine!)

The wig is just one of the $5 or $10 wigs that you find at any department store at this time of year. It takes a little work to straighten and fix the bangs, but they are great for quick costumes like this!

The makeup look itself is really easy to achieve and you may have very similar products in your own collection! I went with everything pink, but this makeup look could very easily be done in any other colours too - purple or blue would look great too!

Here is a closer look at the makeup:

I wanted to create a look that was bold and glittery, but not too hard for the average makeup wearer to create! I think the glitter adds a great element - I love glitter for Halloween!

Here is a look at the products I used:

Eyes
-Base shadow ~ Lorac Pro 2 "Lt. Pink"
-Under brow & inner corner shadow ~ Lorac Pro 2 "Champagne"
-Crease shadow - Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance
-Lid shadow ~ Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette "Buon Fresco" "Vermeer" and "Primavera"
-Too Faced Glitter Primer (over eyelid shadow)
-Glitter on top of eyeshadow primer ~ Lit Cosmetics "Cotton Candy" light pink & "No Doubt" dark pink (used with glitter primer and patted on)
-NYX Jumbo Eye pencil "Milk"
-Mascara ~ Smashbox X-rated and Yves Saint Laurent Mascara Volume Effect Faux Cils
-Eyebrows ~ Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Brow Mousse

Face
-Smashbox Photo finish primer
-Covergirl Trublend Liquid Foundation
-NYX HD concealer
-NYX HD finishing powder "banana"
-Guerlain Météorites Flocons Enchantés (illuminating primer)
-Clinique Cheek Pop Blush - Plum Pop
-Becca Champagne Pop (lots of highlighter!!)

Lips
-Model Co illusion lip liner
-L.A. Colors Chunky Lip Pencil "Wine"

Of course, the same products don't have to be used, just have products that are similar!

To create the look:
-Do your face makeup (foundation/powder) as per usual
-Use an illuminizing powder (and be generous) for an extra glow
-Go a little heavier on the blush and highlight to really help emphasize the glow
-Create a pink eye makeup look - dark pink in the crease, medium pink on the lid and a light shade for under the brow and the inner corner
-Carry the shadows lightly under the eye as well
-Apply a glitter primer over lid colours, and apply a generous amount of glitter (I used a darker glitter on the outer side, and a light glitter on the inner side). Carry glitter over top of the shadow under the eye as well
-Apply mascara
-Fill in eyebrows (I did mine a little a little darker than I normally do for a dramatic look)
-Apply lip liner to lips
-Fill in with lip colour of choice
-Place on wig and headband

Have fun being a glittery pink unicorn!
