September/October 2015 Honeymoon Empties

I have to say that I originally thought I would have all my empties from the Honeymoon and October all together in 1 post; but, I had sooo many empties from my Honeymoon it would be waaay too long!!

I started blogging my empties a few months ago, because I was hooked on Youtube empties videos and love going through and seeing what everyone else has used up and what they thought of the products! I jumped on board, and have really loved it ever since - I know it's basically looking at garbage but it is awesome to go through and see what you would buy again!

My Honeymoon was 2 weeks long - September 26 to October 10 and I tried to just bring travel sized products with me to use some of my stash up!! It is also perfect to travel with because it takes up less space, and I pack like I'm never coming home! Before we dig in, let me apologize for the picture quality, ugh phones and hotel bathrooms are not a great combination for product shots! Here we go:

Bvlgari White Tea Soap ~ price unknown, hotel soap. A generous and elegant expression of refinement and personal indulgence, BVLGARI's Eau Parfume au the blanc's Bath Soap envelop body and mind with intimate notes of white tea and musk.

I don't think I would normally count this as an empty, but I left it at the first hotel where it was from. It actually smelled super good! If I was at another hotel and they had this, I would be happy to use it.

Bvlgari White Tea Body Lotion ~ price unknown, hotel lotion. BVLGARI's lightweight, rich fluid emulsion contains extract of white tea, cotton and rice. Gives skin a feeling of well-being and leaves skin soft and velvety to the touch. A delicate emollient effect makes it perfect for everyday use.

This doesn't really look empty, but I used it all up! For a hotel lotion, this actually smelled really great and was moisturizing!

The Face Shop Core Seed Purifying Essence ~ sample. Seed core essence for pure, moisture and clear skin.

Usually these foil packets have enough product for 2-3 uses, but this hardly had anything in it. It worked for the night I used it, but it was too little for me to decide if it was of any real benefit to my skin.

Eslor Soothing Refiner and Cleanser ~ sample. Deeply cleansing to draw out skin impurities without striping the essential lipids needed to keep the skin healthy and hydrated. Transforms into luxurious lather and leaves the skin soft and beautifully radiant.

This sample lasted a good 3 uses and that was using quite a lot of product, I probably could have stretched it another wash or 2! I really liked this cleanser - it was deep cleaning and very gentle.

Philosophy Purity Made Simple ~ sample. Begin with the most basic step of all. Purity Made Simple one-step facial cleanser is an award-winning cleanser that melts away dirt, oil, and makeup. It tones and lightly hydrates in one simple step for skin that feels perfectly clean and comfortably balanced. Formulated for all skin types and gentle enough for the sensitive eye area, it deep cleans pores while natural oil extracts help condition skin.

I really like philosophy cleansers - I find them very gentle, yet very effective! I actually have a big philosophy cleanser from Topbox to get through, so I look forward to using that!

First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser ~ sample. A fragrance-free, gentle cleanser that effectively removes makeup, dirt, and grime, leaving skin soft and supple.

I have bought this First Aid Beauty cleanser and liked it - good, effective and gentle!

The Face Shop White Seed Exfoliating Foam Cleanser ~ sample. This exfoliating foam cleanser deeply cleanses the skin and brightens the complexion. Its micro scrub helps purify the skin by removing dead cells.

I don't generally like a face cleanser that is too exfoliating (I prefer to use specific exfoliators on certain days), but I thought this was gentle enough because it was also foaming. I quite liked it.

Skin Food Water Berry Emulsion ~ sample. Watery Berry Emulsion contains three berry extracts – Lingon Berry & Articic Berry & Cloud Berry. Excellence at Antioxidant Activities against skin-aging.

I'm just not a fan of this heavily scented emulsion... to. strong to use, blah.

Innisfree Apple Juicy Liquid Foaming Cleanser ~ sample. A liquid-type deep cleansing foam that offers softness and healthy radiance to your skin. Skin feels like freshly washed apple afterwards.

This smelled really good! It was awesome, but every time it got in my eyes, it stung so much! Would not repurchase because of that.

Klorane Smoothing and Relaxing Patches ~ $3 for 1 set. These soothing eye patches refresh, moisturize and brighten tired eyes. Formulated with a unique combination of cornflower to naturally soothe and reduce puffiness; arnica to drain the eye contour; and chamomile to refresh and provide anti-inflammatory benefits. Eyes are instantly brighter with bags and lines visibly reduced.

I have received these in past Ipsy bags as well as bought them with points - I reviewed them on a past Month in Masks post here. I think they adhere well to the face and I like using them, they are a little big though. Overall, I would use these again!

Rosa Venus White Bar Soap ~ $2.39. Basic White Bar Soap.

If you're thinking of buying this, just don't - go get some nicer soap. Too strongly scented and blah - we used it at this B&B for a couple of nights and that was it.

Be The Skin Botanical Nutrition Power Serum ~ sample. This serum draws on botanical herbs that have been used for thousands of years in Asian history to hydrate and help with signs of aging skin. This best-selling serum helps impart moisture and radiance to dry, dull skin.

This was a really good serum - a little goes a long way! I was happy with it, as it made my skin feel very moisturized!

Shangpree S-Energy Cleansing Gel ~ sample size $0.75 (full size is $39). So many make-up removers on the market can be harsh on the skin, especially on sensitive areas around on the eyes and on the lips. Thankfully, the S-energy Cleansing Gel is a naturally emulsifying cleanser that is tough enough to break up waterproof make-up and clean out tired pores while mild enough to use on sensitive skin.

I wasn't a fan of the texture - I know that is weird to say about a cleansing gel but it never really lathered or spread on to my face well and it didn't feel like it worked at all. Not my favorite.

The Face Shop Mango Seed Cleansing Foam ~ sample. This moisturizing cleansing foam helps eliminate impurities without drying skin. Enriched with mango seeds, it is perfect to nourish dry skin.

I really like the Mango Seed line from The Face Shop (I use the serum every day) and this was good - the sample was a little small (only 1 use) but I liked it.

Grand Turk Inn Conditioning Shampoo ~ B&B freebie. Conditioning shampoo.

I realized that I packed enough of everything except for shampoo and conditioner for my trip, so I had to save the stuff I brought for a super small island we went to after this one where I knew there may not be extra amenities. Anyways, long story I had to use this and my hair does not like a 2 in 1 product, I definitely need both a shampoo and a conditioner.

Harvey Prince Ageless Liquid Loofah Exfoliating Shower Gel ~ sample size 15 ml for $1.10 (full size is 354 ml for $26). We used to think the fountain of youth existed in a fairytale forest, but now we’re pretty sure it’s in the shower. This energizing body wash not only cleanses and softens skin with a bevy of botanicals—it leaves behind the mood-boosting Harvey Prince fragrance, Ageless, an uplifting blend of pink grapefruit, mango, and sandalwood.

I received this is a past Birchbox and it smells really good! I liked it but I would just not spend $26 on a body wash!

Hanaka Camellia Powder Wash ~ 1 pack for $1.13 (pack of 7 for $7.90). Renewing the skin and purifying the pore effectively sweep away impurities and perfectly balanced for all skin types. Deeply cleanser the complexion.

I can't remember where I got these from, but I thought packets of powder cleanser would be great for travel - these were good. Mix with water and they foam up and feel deep cleaning.

First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser ~ sample. A fragrance-free, gentle cleanser that effectively removes makeup, dirt, and grime, leaving skin soft and supple.

This is a repeat - and, again worked well and was gentle.

Eslor Soothing Refiner and Cleanser ~ sample. Deeply cleansing to draw out skin impurities without striping the essential lipids needed to keep the skin healthy and hydrated. Transforms into luxurious lather and leaves the skin soft and beautifully radiant.

Another duplicate - I really liked this cleanser!

The Face Shop Chia Seed Fresh Cleansing Foam ~ sample. Foam cleanser that deeply cleanses your pores.

I have to say out of all the foil packets, I am disappointed in the size of the Face Shop samples, I think they are too small to really get a good feel for the product. I have no complaints about this product and it worked fine.

Fresh Black Tea Age Delay Cream ~ sample. An age-delay face cream proven to visibly reduce fine lines and firm the skin*—and enriched with kombucha (black tea ferment) to help soften, smooth, and enhance luster.

This was fine, no complaints - I liked it and it made my skin feel good. It was a little thick so I mostly used it at night. While I liked it, I would not spend $111 on it full size.

Coppertone Sunscreen Lotion SPF 60 ~ $9.97. Broad Spectrum UVA/UVB, Protection, Waterproof, Hypoallergenic, Non-greasy, Recognized by the Canadian Dermatologist Association.

This was good - we needed SPF 60 in Turks and Caicos! This worked really well, we would buy it again.

Eslor Soothing Refiner and Cleanser ~ sample. Deeply cleansing to draw out skin impurities without striping the essential lipids needed to keep the skin healthy and hydrated. Transforms into luxurious lather and leaves the skin soft and beautifully radiant.

Another duplicate (for the 3rd time) - I really liked this cleanser and this sample lasted quite a few times!

Sephora Collection Instant Moisturizer ~ A moisturizing cream with a light, non-greasy texture that delivers intense moisturization for better looking skin, even without makeup.

**Blah, this smelled liked men's cologne - it was so smelly. I can't even think if it worked okay or not because the smell was just so bad - would not repurchase because of that!

Skin Food Water Berry Emulsion ~ sample. Watery Berry Emulsion contains three berry extracts – Lingon Berry & Articic Berry & Cloud Berry. Excellence at Antioxidant Activities against skin-aging.

Another duplicate - again, I did not like this scent at all.

Yadah Anti-T Soothing Toner ~ sample size 8ml for $1.76 (full size is 100ml for $22). Treat your acne and troubled skin with this gentle toner from Yadah. This product also helps to control excess sebum. This hypoallergenic, low-chemical, and plant-derived formulation is suitable for all skin types.

I really liked this toner! This little bottle lasted quite a long time being used twice a day! I got this in a Mishibox and  thought this was very gentle and worked well.

Hanaka Camellia Powder Wash ~ 1 pack for $1.13 (pack of 7 for $7.90). Renewing the skin and purifying the pore effectively sweep away impurities and perfectly balanced for all skin types. Deeply cleanser the complexion.

Another duplicate - again I like the texture of this cleanser and thought it worked well and deep-cleaned.

Lemon Sorbet Soap Bar ~ (new product, no $ yet) We've created a brand new spa line soap scented with Lemon Sorbet and topped with calendula petals and dried lemon peel. Use this all body soap or a refreshing and light exfoliating experience. This is part of a lineup of new soaps we are planning to introduce this year!

This smelled really great - I love lemon scents! I liked the soap too and thought it worked well - this would be great if you like lemon scents.

ECRU Acacia Protein BB Cream for Hair ~ travel size 1 oz. for $12. A beauty balm for hair. An all-in-one, multi-purpose, styling and conditioning cream that is amazingly light and incredibly versatile.

I received this in a past Ipsy bag and really liked it - it was very light and usable. I just found a few other products I liked better on my hair, but would recommend this.

Beauty Protector Beauty Wash Body Cleanser ~ sample size 30 ml (1 oz) for $1.88 (full size is 8 oz for $15). We adore the refreshing clean and out-of-this-world floral scent of our Beauty Protector Protect & Shampoo so much, we’ve been seriously tempted to use it all over (don’t judge). So we couldn’t wait to lather up with the brand’s new body wash: The rich, foamy gel leaves our skin fresh and clean—and smells just as amazing as the rest of the line.

I received this in a past birchbox and it was fine, nothing to complain about and it did smell really good! But, again I don't spend that much on body washes and would not go out of my way to repurchase.

The Face Shop Mango Seed Cleansing Butter ~ sample. This powerful cleanser with its soft, buttery texture effectively removes all traces of even the heaviest makeup. Enriched with ultra-nourishing mango seeds, it is perfect to nourish dry skin.

Again, these samples are so small they are hard to get a good feeling of the product. I like this line so I imagine if I had a bit bigger of a sample that I would like this!

Off! Deep Woods ~ $15.89. Provides long protection from mosquitoes, ticks, bitting flies, gnats & chiggers. Also repels chiggers, fleas, gnats.

This was a must have in Turks and Caicos, especially on some on the smaller islands and at night - there is lots of little bugs that come out and eat you alive! This worked well, I figure this is a fairly well known product.

Fruits and Passion Body Lotion in "Orange Cantaloupe" ~ $15.50. This fragrance is as cheerful as a ray of sunshine. A mix of fresh, radiant notes infused with softness, it exudes a captivating citrus scent.

I have had this lotion for quite some time (I realized they have changed the packaging since I got this). I like this scent and the lotion was fine, typical Fruits and Passions.

Hawaiian Hawaiian Tropic Sunscreen Silk Hydration SPF 30 ~ $8.99. Lightweight and easy to apply. Provides 12 hour moisturization. Broad spectrum UVA or UVB protection. Protect, pamper, nourish for beautiful radiant skin.

I love the smell of this sunscreen! We got to use SPF later on in the trip! I think this is fairly well known and since I'm lazy, I love the spray sunscreen! I would happily repurchase it - this is probably my favorite sunscreen.

Nourish Spa Line Shampoo ~ hotel freebie. Gentle enough for daily use, this mild shampoo infused with green tea that cleanses and hydrates, delivering deep penetrating moisturization, body and shine

This was actually a good hotel shampoo - I loved the scent and it worked well! I would be happy if I saw this at the next hotel I was going staying at.

Nourish Spa Line Conditioner ~ hotel freebie. Infused with green tea combined with a rich moisturizing conditioner it leaves hair hydrated, manageable and feeling silky smooth.

Again, this was a good line to use and I liked the conditioner.

Biore Sarasara Uv Aqua Rich Waterly Essence Sunscreen Spf 50+ Pa+++ ~ $11.18. Japan Import Biore Sarasara Uv Aqua Rich Waterly Essence Sunscreen.

I read that this sunscreen was amazing and so I had to try it! I really only used this on my face during the trip because it is an essence and I didn't want to waste it on my body! This lasted quite a while and I was very happy with the texture and quality. I still have a second bottle to re-use but I will repurchase this!

Nourish Spa Line Massage Bar ~ hotel freebie. A revitalizing massage bar that soothes and cleanses tired skin, leaving it feeling soft and rejuvenated.

This soap smelled good and was good to use like the rest of the line.

Eslor Firming Collagen Day Cream ~ sample. Leaves skin soft and hydrated while helping to prevent the early appearance of wrinkles. It contains the finest Hydrolyzed Marine Collagen. It absorbs quickly and leaves a smooth, non-greasy finish to improve firmness of the skin.

I have reviewed this product before on a past empties post here. I think this lotion works great and makes my skin feel good, but it is too heavily perfume scented to use often. It just reminds me of super strong old lady perfume.

First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser ~ sample. A fragrance-free, gentle cleanser that effectively removes makeup, dirt, and grime, leaving skin soft and supple.

Another repeat from earlier in the I think I got these in a Beauty Box 5 - again, I was happy with this cleanser.

Missha Time Revolution The first Treatment Essence ~ sample. Use the highly concentrated essential essence at the first step of skin care for clear, glowing, healthy skin.
The mild formula was developed as a fluid type with low viscosity to increase the rate of absorption on the skin. Provides soothing, hydrating, brightening, and wrinkle repairing benefits.

As if Korean skin care was not confusing enough, now there is a first essence? You are supposed to use this right after cleansing before your toner application. It was good, but I have enough steps without a first essence too!

Glamglow Youth Cleanse Daily Exfoliating Cleanser ~ sample. A daily cleanser that transforms from mud into a foaming lather to gently exfoliate, cleanse, and renew skin to create a more youthful-looking, glowing complexion.

I have really been loving all the Glamglow products I have tried, and this is no exception - I really liked this cleanser. I like the mud to foam feel and it worked well! I would use it again for sure!

Hawaiian Tropic Sunscreen Silk Hydration Moisturizing Sunscreen Lotion - SPF 30 ~ travel size. HAWAIIAN Tropic sun protection SPF 30 with hydrating ribbons infused with silk protein and shea butter provides continuous moisture. Luxurious hydrating ribbons keep skin continuously moisturized. Light, tropical fragrance. Sun-sure formula that protects longer compared to ordinary sunscreens. Lightweight feel. Protect, pamper, nourish for beautiful radiant skin.

I received this in a Topbox and I really liked this! I like the spray product and the lotion product. I would repurchase this.

Yadah Anti-T Emulsion ~ $1.84. Continue caring for your acne and troubled skin or control your excess sebum with this gentle emulsion. The non-greasy formula of this toner and emulsion set provides a cooling sensation that is perfect for summer!

I previously used up the toner that came with this emulsion - and I quite liked this as well. It was a light emulsion and worked well on my skin!

Maybelline Great Lash Waterproof Mascara, Very Black ~ $6.99. Waterproof mascara glides on smoothly. Doubles lash size as it conditions. Hypoallergenic; safe for contact lens wearers. Brush won't cause clumping.

I read a lot of reviews to find the best drugstore waterproof mascara and all signs pointed to this - it was a lie. This mascara was crap! It hardly did anything to my eyelashes and it was clumpy. I was not happy with this at all and would not recommend it!

Hanaka Camellia Powder Wash ~ 1 pack for $1.13 (pack of 7 for $7.90). Renewing the skin and purifying the pore effectively sweep away impurities and perfectly balanced for all skin types. Deeply cleanser the complexion.

Another repeat - again! I packed a few of these because they are small to pack! I liked this cleanser, no complaints.

Carol's Daughter Sacred Tiare Anti-Breakage & Anti-Frizz Styling Cream ~ $6 for sample size 15ml (full size is 30ml for $12). Say so long to unmanageable frizz and hair breakage, and hello to frizz-free and fortified hair. This protective blow dry cream repairs as it freezes your sleek style into place as you blow-dry and flat iron so you can have unmatched control and hair that's healthier than before. Made with strand-strengthening Coprah Coconut Oil, a sacred, protein-rich ingredient that is blended with Tiare Gardenia Flower, follicle-restoring Pro-vitamin B5 and nourishing Moringa Seed Oil for a flawless finish that's stronger and smoother.

I received this item in an old Ipsy bag - I quite liked this product when I originally received it, but I have since found a few smoothing products I like better!

In addition to this ton of products I had a few that I left (sadly) on a very tiny island - good thing they were almost all used up! (They were close enough to being done that I am counting them as my empties!) Here is a look:

Holika Holika Aloe 99% Soothing Gel ~ $12. 99 % fermented aloe vera leaf juice is contained. Fermented contents maximize the effect of activating components like aloesin. So it helps your skin to be clear & healthy.

This product was sooooo cute, I am actually so sad I left this! The lotion also worked really well and was good lotion! I will likely repurchase this!

Calgon Hawaiian Ginger Fragrance Body Mist ~ $8.29. Calgon Hawaiian Ginger Fragrance Body Mist is the dazzle of island sunshine and the exhilarating rush of exotic fruit.

This is actually my favorite body spray ever!! It is sooo good! I think I have been using this scent since highschool and I repurchase it all the time - I will be re-purchasing this for sure!

Beaver Professional Hydro Nutritive Repairing Conditioner ~ sample size 40ml for $3.81. Considering what we do to our hair on a daily basis, we’re surprised our strands haven’t staged a revolt. Keep the peace with this moisturizing conditioner. It deeply nourishes and strengthens dry, frizzy, or damaged hair, leaving it softer, smoother, and healthier looking.

I received this in a past Birchbox and it was okay, nothing special. I received an email saying these products were deemed in California (and only California) to contain carcinogens, which seems strange for a conditioner. Anyways, it worked good but not good enough for me to repurchase.

Beaver Professional Hydro Nutritive Repairing Shampoo ~ sample size 60ml for $4.42. You don’t have to go to extremes to repair dry, damaged hair. In fact, when it comes to reviving your strands, gentle is your best bet. This mild cleanser uses moisturizing avocado oil and aloe vera extracts to repair and rebuild hair, leaving it smoother, softer and shinier.

My feeling are the exact same about the shampoo as they are about the conditioner.

Oats, Milk & Honey Lotion ~ $10.50. A lotion that passes our snap test! Rub some of this delicious lotion and give your fingers a snap! So lightweight yet moisturizing that we had to ship a large 4 oz bottle! And did I mention that it has super skin loving honey in it? This is really the oh-la-la of lotions.

I really loved this lotion! It smelled really good and was very moisturizing! I really liked this and would most likely repurchase.

Batiste Dry Shampoo - Original ~ $8.76. Dry Shampoo with a clean & classic fragrance for all hair types.

I like this dry shampoo - it works well and suits my hair. It's not the greatest dry shampoo but it does the job and it is also reasonable priced so I will repurchase this.

Softsoap Nutri Serums Vitamin E Body Wash ~ sample size 1.7 oz for $1.08 (full size is 15 oz for $8). Treat your body to rich moisture and a super fresh scent while showering! The softening serum pearls burst with Vitamin E to hydrate and Omegas 3 and 6 help your skin retain moisture all day long to banish winter dryness.

I received this in a past Beauty Box 5 - it was fine, just a normal body wash. I liked it enough, but would not go out of the way to repurchase this.

Whish Shave Crave Shaving Cream in "Acai Grapefruit" ~ sample size 22ml for $3.22 (full size is 150 ml for $22). This decadent shave cream from whish one-ups its competitors. Made in the U.S. with eco-friendly ingredients, the non-drying formula gives you a mighty close shave without leaving legs devoid of moisture. And, unlike its distant peers, it’s designed not to foam up: instead, the rich lotion is chock full of organic and natural botanicals that soften skin.

I received this in a past Birchbox and it smelled really good! I'm just not sure if I like this texture, I prefer foaming shave gel.

Oribe Superfine Hair Spray ~ travel size $21.50. A sheer, modern hairspray with medium hold. Oribe designed Superfine to bring new technology to old-style glamour, resulting in flexible, brushable, shiny-soft control. The exclusive ultra-dry finish won't dampen or dull smooth styles

I received this in a past Popsugar Must Have (not available in Canada but I had it shipped to my american shipping address). I liked the hold of this spray and have really enjoyed all the Oribe products I have tried. I don't use a ton of hairspray so I likely will not go out of my way to repurchase this but I would use it again.

Altogether on my 2 week honeymoon, I used 56 products up!! A couple of items were repeats, but I can't believe how many goodies I used up!! I made quite a dent on my sample pile!
