Skincare Sunday - Paula's Choice Omega+ Complex Cleansing Balm (a.k.a. I Found The One Cleansing Balm To Rule Them All)

Spoiler alert - if you read my April Monthly Beauty Favourites, you will know already that I love this (plus the title of this probably gives away my thoughts!)

I've been a huge fan of cleansing balms and the double cleansing system for a long time; but, I'm not a huge fan of scooping my hands in to a pot. Over the past year a few brands have come out with cleansing balms in a tube and I am here for it!

Because there is only 3 products like this on the market (that I know of), I will certainly be comparing the three of them - but, I will start by saying, I really like the other tubed cleansing balms as well. I've tried both the Indeed Labs Watermelon Melting Balm and the Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm and they've made my Favourites before. I think they work well removing makeup, but the texture of both was a little off, so in steps the Paula's Choice cleansing balm with a perfect texture and this is just the best cleansing balm in a tube I've tried!

Paula's Choice Omega+ Complex Cleansing Balm ~ $28.00 US. A triple-action cleansing balm made with omegas 3, 6 and 9 to cleanse, soften and soothe while rinsing completely clean.

Paula's Choice is a brand that I'm continually impressed with - everything I've tried from them has been great, and this cleansing balm is no exception! This is one of their newest releases and it is so good! This formula is a super smooth balm that cleanses the skin, removes all makeup while nourishing the skin and leaving it soft and hydrated.

To use this, Paula's Choice suggests you gently massage a small amount onto wet or dry skin. Rinse well with warm water. For a deeper clean, leave on for 60 seconds then remove with a soft washcloth.

For me, I apply this to dry skin and massage this in, then I added water and keep massaging in to skin and rise off. This works great on it's own - my skin is clean, all traces of makeup removed, and my skin is super smooth! But, if I want to double cleanse (like I do most nights when I wear makeup and SPF), then after I add water, I will also add a creamy cleanser and massage it in and rinse!

So, while I saying, the other tubed cleansing balms are all good in formula, what makes the Paula's Choice cleansing balm stands is the texture. You can see the Indeed Labs on the right has a few grittier chunks in it, and the Inkey List cleansing balm separates so easily; but, Paula's Choice doesn't separate and stays silky smooth! It's such a great texture and formula.

I love that we get this great texture and formula from a balm that is also in a tube - this is easily my new holy grail cleansing balm and I will keep repurchasing this! And while that sounds dramatic, this is exactly what I want in my first cleanse product!

Have you tried a tubed cleansing balm yet?!
