October Shop My Stash - The Nightmare Before Christmas Sally Makeup

"Boys and girls of every age, wouldn't you like to see something strange? Come with us and you will see, this, our town of Halloween. This is Halloween, this is Halloween, pumpkins scream in the dead of night. This is Halloween, everybody make a scene, trick or treat till the neighbours gonna die of fright. It's our town, everybody scream, in this town of Halloween."

I've been wanting to do a Nightmare Before Christmas costume for yeeeears - my husband can vouch that I bring up a Jack & Sally costume since we've been together! So, finally my little guy loves Jack Skellington so I've selling him on us being Jack & Sally for a whole year.

I'm really sad that we can't do a Halloween party like last year, but we are still going to wear our costumes and see our family. It seems safe to do a little bit of trick-or-treating, so we will be taking Elliott out with masks on and just for a short time!

I was really happy I was able to pull together this whole makeup look with products that I have in my stash - I'm really happy with how the look turned out! Certainly the face can be blended a little better; but, I was using cheap sponges as I had no idea how the cream blue makeup would apply!

This is actually a really easy makeup look - almost just like a normal face of makeup, but blue! I started with primer and sponged on the blue cream makeup as my skin colour, then I lightly set it with a setting powder. Then, I added a bit of dark blue highlighter as a "bronzer" and a light blue highlighter as a blush.

Using the black eyeliner, I added stitches by my mouth and eye with a straight line and small alternating X's and I's. For the eye look, I use a blue shadow all over the lid as a transition shade, added a dark blue all over the lid and added a little blue glitter as a highlight on the lid. I lined my eyes with black liner and added white liner on my water line. Then I applied lashes and mascara and lightly filled in my brows and I finished everything with setting spray!

-Sally Wig from Spirit Halloween
-Sally Stitches Choker from Hot Topic
-Sally T-Shirt Dress from Hot Topic
-Stitched Sally Tights from Spirit Halloween
-Round Toe Chelsea Boots from Joe Fresh

I'm really happy with this costume and can't wait for our whole little family Nightmare Before Christmas costume!
