April 2020 - Monthly Empties and Month in Masks

Here is a look at my beauty garbage from April:

April 2020 - Monthly Empties and Month in Masks
Some products were received as PR samples - this post contains affiliate links

Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Powder ~ $8.00 CAN. The Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Powder is a loose powder that helps absorb oil and excess sebum.

I just finished this up in my 20 in 2020 Project Pan - I've had this since 2015 and it was time to use it up. It's not a bad powder, but I'm just not super in to loose powders in my routine anymore. This was super fine and I thought it creased under my eyes a little.
Repurchase: Nah

Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment "Rose" ~ sample size (full size is $32.00). A bestselling lip treatment—and a cult-favorite among all who try it, including Hollywood’s elite—that moisturizes, protects, and smooths the lips.

This is one of my favourite tinted lip balms of all time. It's moisturizing, long-lasting, and adds the right hint of colour to the lips that I wear it with a face of makeup and feel like my look is finished! This has been in my favs since December 2016!
Repurchase: Yes, after I get through some more in collection

Almay Liquid Lash Extenders Mascara ~ $12.05 CAN. Almay Liquid Lash Extenders Mascara is the unique volumizing mascara made with a fiber and tube formula to wrap and extend, giving you visibly longer lashes without extensions.

This was a tubing mascara - it's my first time trying this type of mascara and to be totally honest I don't think this is for me. It's more about length than real volume for my lashes. I also found this hard to remove.
Repurchase: No

Vasanti - Professional Foundation Brush ~ $32.00 CAN. Specially shaped and designed to work beautifully with Vasanti Liquid Cover Up for flawless, even and natural looking foundation application.

I'm not a fan of this shape of foundation brush - I don't find they work on applying foundation at all. I actually let my toddler use this to apply powder and he broke it.
Repurchase: Nope

April 2020 - Monthly Empties and Month in Masks

Neal's Yard Bee Lovely Body Butter ~ $49.00 CAN. Deliciously softening and bee-utifully scented, our rich, creamy body butter naturally nourishes skin all over.

First things first, this body butter smells absolutely amazing! It smells like honey and oranges - so good! The orange is such a lovely scent and it is both uplifting and refreshing. This is a super thick, moisturizing body butter and it is was really enjoyable to use!

Repurchase: Maybe, but it's pricey and I have a few body butters to use

Paula's Choice 10% Niacinamide Booster ~ $44.00 US. This concentrated 10% niacinamide serum booster dramatically improves uneven skin tone and refines the appearance of pore size, skin texture and fine lines.

I just recently shared this in my March Favourites - I think it's so light-weight and absorbs well in to the skin! This one was fantastic at evening my skin tone and improving the overall appearance of my skin! I've talked about how good my skin's looked using this and I really like the results with this!

Repurchase: Yes

Vaseline Intensive Care Healthy Hands Stronger Nails Lotion ~ $6.49 CAN. This lotion is enriched with Keratin and gently exfoliates skin for softer palms, fingertips and knuckles, smoother cuticles, and stronger nails.

I have a feeling that we are going to be going through a little extra hand lotion over the next few months - this one has been my work hand lotion and I really like this one. It's nice and moisturizing!
Repurchase: Yes

Wet Brush Original Detangler ~ $16.99 CAN. Effortlessly detangle wet and dry locks with the WetBrush Original Detangler. The rubber coated handle allows you to have a firm grip whilst brushing out tough knots and tangles, giving you smooth and sleek hair in no time.

So I happened to be brushing my hair and this decided to snap on me! It's a good thing that I had a backup brush, because I cannot be without the WetBrush! This just works so well detangling my hair!
Repurchase: Yes, I will need a backup

April 2020 - Monthly Empties and Month in Masks

Dr Teal's Shea Butter & Almond Oil Epsom Salt ~ $9.99 CAN. Dr Teal’s Soaking Solution combines Pure Epsom Salt (Magnesium Sulphate USP) with Shea Butter & Almond Oil extracts to help ease sore, achy muscles while moisturizing your skin.

I don't always love the strong scent of shea, but I certainly love the added almond oil - it changes the scent. I talked about this about on my Winter Skincare Saviours and it really is so relaxing and soothing to use in the bath. Plus, this package is huge!
Repurchase: Yes!

Dove Foaming Hand Wash - Coconut Water & Almond Milk ~ $3.47 CAN. Dove Foaming Hand Wash with Coconut & Almond Milk scent nourishes your hands with every wash, leaving your skin soft, smooth and beautifully fragranced.

I happen to enjoy foaming hand soaps - this is nothing special; but, it worked really well and smelled good!
Repurchase: Yes

St. Ives Pear Nectar & Soy Body Lotion ~ $10.46 CAN. Rejuvenate your skin in luxurious, reviving moisture.

This was such a good smelling lotion - it was also a good formula. Nothing crazy, but good.
Repurchase: Maybe

Live Clean Vanilla Oatmeal Soothing Liquid Hand Soap ~ $5.49 CAN. Live Clean Vanilla Oatmeal Soothing Hand Soap is the perfect blend of Vitamin E, Panthenol and certified organic botanicals of Vanilla and Chamomile combined with Oatmeal to gently cleanse and to deliver superior softening and moisturizing, leaving hands feeling soft and silky smooth.

This was a huge hand soap and this lasted forever - I like the oatmeal scent and this was in the main floor bathroom for a long time and it was good.
Repurchase: Yes I would

Acuvue Oasys x 2 ~ $57.00 CAN each for a 12 pack.

These are my go-to contacts - my eyes are usually pretty dry and these work well to keep them hydrated during the day!
Repurchase: Yep!

So, I used up 14 products this month, which is a little lower than my average, but it's been a blah month and I haven't used up as many products as normal.

April 2020 - Monthly Empties and Month in Masks

Aveeno Repairing CICA Hand Mask ~ $5.49 CAN. Aveeno Repairing CICA Hand Mask, 1 pair, is designed to help restore essential moisture to extra-dry sensitive skin.

I just featured this in my April Favourites - who doesn't need serious hand moisturizing right now. These masks fit really well and I thought wore way longer than the suggested 10 minutes! I found this actually left my hands really moisturized and for a couple of days after wearing them - I was really impressed with the results!

Repurchase: Yes!

Aveeno Repairing CICA Foot Mask ~ $5.49 CAN. Aveeno Repairing CICA Foot Mask, 1 pair, is designed to help restore essential moisture to extra-dry sensitive skin.

I just used this at the same time as the hand masks, and these were good. I thought that these were good - they were moisturizing, but didn't do anything extra special for my feet - my heels were still dry.
Repurchase: Maybe

April 2020 - Monthly Empties and Month in Masks

Mediheal Meience Blackbean Tea Mask ~ $2.49 US. Skin-brightening essence formula with black-food ingredients including black beans, offer dewy-appearance and tone improvement of dull, darkened skin.

This mask was fine - it was a pretty average sheet mask. I can't recall any amazing results, but typically mediheal masks are really good, this one just wasn't memorable to me.
Repurchase: Eh, maybe

Mad Beauty Disney Minnie Magic Face Mask ~ £3.99/$5.48 US. Revitalise your skin, whilst transforming into this beloved  mouse. Minnie keeps her youthful appearance even after 90 years of show business, and you can too with our  Minnie Magic Strawberry Sheet Mask.

How adorable is this sheet mask?! I love the prints of these Mad Beauty masks and I thought this one fit and looked really well. You can see a full review of this mask here and I thought my skin was actually really soft after using this!
Repurchase: Yes, I would

Patchology MoodPatch Happy Place x 2 ~ $25.00 CAN for 5 pairs. Antioxidant-rich Hibiscus, softening Coconut Extract, and skin-conditioning Lotus Flower leave skin happily hydrated.

I have been wanting to try Patchology for a while, so I'm excited I finally tried their eye masks. I found these masks really nice and hydrating! They were cooling and soothing under the eyes!
Repurchase: Yes

Peach Slices Brighten Mask ~ $2.49 US. Diminish the appearance of dark spots and dull skin with this brightening cotton sheet mask.

This has a creamy type essence and it lasted on my face for about 40 minutes - it fit really nice and was brightening! I really like these peach slices masks!
Repurchase: Yes

April 2020 - Monthly Empties and Month in Masks

TheFaceShop Bio-Cell Brightening Face Mask ~ $4.50 CAN. This brightening mask features a naturally adhesive bio-cellulose sheet and a hydrating serum containing Glutathione to give you a bright, healthy complexion.

This was another really great and comfortable biocellulose mask - I always rave about this material, it's so comfortable. I found this one very gentle and effective on the skin. My skin looked and felt good after wearing this!
Repurchase: Yes, I would

Beauty 360 Moisturizing Anti-Wrinkle Plumping Tissue Facial Mask ~ $4.39 US. Boosts skin's hydration & visibly firms while diminishing the look of fine lines & wrinkles.

Well I picked these up on a whim at CVS and this one was not good - the fit was terrible and I could hardly get it to stay on my face nicely. I also found this slightly tingly, so I only wore it for about 10 minutes before removing it!

So, in April I used up 23 products and I'm going to add up the totals of each category I'm using up to see how much I use up by the end of 2020, so these numbers are from the start of the year:

-Makeup: 23
-Skincare: 23
-Bath and Body: 12
-Haircare: 10
-Nails: 2
-Masks: 19

-Other: 18
