Spring Floral Scents from Yardley

I've been keeping up the May Flowers theme with my nails all month, so why not extend the theme to fragrances too?!

I typically tend to wear light scents overall - I work in a scent free work place, so I've gotten used to light or no scents overall. Even though I like to keep things light, I do still like to experiment with scents!
I received these Yardley fragrances and thought the scents - Lily of the Valley, English Lavender and English Rose -all sounded like the perfect Spring scents! (And, of course, I was right! They are all lovely floral scents, that are still on the light side and smell great!)

Yardley Lily of the Valley

Yardley Lily Of The Valley Eau De Toilette ~ $18.99 CAN. Yardley London’s Lily of the Valley is a light , feminine white floral fragrance with fruit pear accords in the top note and beautiful floral bouquet heart that blends lily of the valley and freesia, enhanced with a pretty, musky base.

I'm going to preface my descriptions - I'm not good at describing scents at all, but I will do my best (or at least, I will let their description speak for themselves and share my thoughts). This is probably my favourite scent of the three - it's a really fresh scent, that is floral without being super floral, and it's got a light musky base that balances it out. It's a beautiful scent and just smells very fresh!

Yardley English Rose

Yardley English Rose Eau De Toilette ~ $18.99 CAN. Yardley London English Rose is a refreshing, light floral fragrance with sparkling citrus and rose top notes and a heart subtly combining rose bud, magnolia, violet and cassis with warm woody notes, whilst patchouli and musks, add velvety tones to the base.

This scent is pretty self explanatory - it's a very rose scent and you either like it or you don't! I would still call this scent on the light side, which is perfect for me. I do think this smells pretty and I like a rose scent - it's not something I would wear all the time, but I think for Spring, I would use a light spray of this and mix it with a sweeter scent. I plan on experimenting with this one as I think it's a really pretty base scent.

Yardley English Lavender

Yardley English Lavender Eau de Toilette ~ $18.99 CAN. Yardley London's international signature fragrance is a beautiful, elegant scent that combines lavender leaves, neroli and clary sage with a heart of lavender oil and geranium, enhanced with deeper notes of sandalwood and tonka bean.

I typically love a lavender scent, but I think I've really started associating it with sleep (I use a lavender pillow spray every night), so I have a bit of a harder time wearing it during the day now. It's a nice scent - I think they make a lotion and body wash, and I would probably love this scent in those products! It's a pretty scent, just not an every day perfume for me!
