Five on Friday - May 29, 2020

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all had a great week! I'm very excited because this evening after work we are heading out to the cabin for a nice social distancing weekend on the river and I'm looking forward to some rest and relaxation - I'm leaving the computer behind and hoping to get some good reading in!

ONE

Novelly Yours Novels in Noir Candle Box
I purchased everything in this post - this post contains referral links

This was my second time picking up a Novelly Yours Exclusive Candle Box (I previously purchased the November 2019 Box because it was all about The Starless Sea and it was lovely!) So, when Novelly Yours announced that their April 2020 "Novels in Noir" box would contain a candle from The Night Circus, I had to pick it up!

The Novelly Yours Exclusive Candle Box is $35.00 US + shipping. I will be honest that shipping was not cheap to Canada (best to find out on your own if you want to order, but it is a heavier box that it comes in!). Each Novelly Yours box comes with one 9 oz jar, two 4 oz jars, and two 2 oz jars, plus other bookish goodies, all currently designed by Novelly Yours! All of the candles and items are exclusive to this box and only any overstock would be sold in stores! (The book is not included in the box!)

The April "Novels in Noir" box included:
-9 oz Les Cirque De Reves candle (caramel, bonfire, cinnamon, clove and chocolate), inspired by The Night Circus
-4 oz Malachiasz candle (torn pages, palo santo, mulled cider, blood), inspired by Wicked Saints
-4 oz Holland candle (smoke, icy musk, cool citrus, tea), inspired by A Darker Shade of Magic
-2 oz Galaxy Stern candle (candied ginger, clove, salt, caramel), inspired by Ninth House
-2 oz Ashlinn candle (honey, lavender, fresh air, wine), inspired by The Nevernight Chronicle
-enamel pin inspired by Serpent & Dove, double sided woodmark, bookmark, cleaning cloth inspired by The Illuminae Files, magnet inspired by The Six of Crows, notebook inspired by Heir of Fire and a double sided print as well.

Also, each month comes in these printed boxes and they are stunning. I really like all the scents and everything was stunning and was so perfect for the theme! So, yes it was completely worth the price and I may have already ordered the May Hunger Games inspired box, because yes I already picked up The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and can't wait to dive back in!

TWO

Novelly Yours Reveurs Candle

Also, when I placed the order, I may have picked up another The Night Circus inspired candle by Novelly Yours - it's the "Reveurs" candle! The scent is described is as caramel, bonfire, rose and cotton and it's lovely! They also through another tea light of Witch & Chasseur and is described as apple cinnamon, honey, red currant, sandalwood. Both are great!

THREE

Ivory Lane Boutique

I just picked a few beautiful pieces from Ivory Lane Boutique - how gorgeous is The Nala Dress?! It's sold out now, but I could not resist picking it up! I also just picked up a basic white body suit to wear with skirts this Summer! Ivory Lane has free Calgary pickup or free Canadian shipping over $85 and they have some super cute stuff! They also have a great reward system, and if you are interesting in ordering from them, I would love if you used my referral link here: Http://Rwrd.Io/Dnlzft7 - also, they have 25% off your first order if you sign up for their newsletter (which gives you early access to new releases!)

FOUR

monthly makeup basket

Time for a quick little recap of my May Monthly Makeup Basket - I purposely just used products from Project Pan and a favourite face palette, because at the start of the month I was wearing very little face makeup. I've started wearing a little bit more, even though I'm wearing masks at work now, just because I love using my makeup!
  • Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection - I don't reach for this often, but I love the blushes and highlighters in this palette, so I keep this around because it's good quality!
  • Kevyn Aucoin The Celestial Highlighting Powder in CandleLight - I've been focusing on this highlighter in my project pan and have been doing well. But, this fell out of the pan a little while ago, so it's been slowly crumbling and it's in my collection for quite a few years! But, it's a lovely highlighter!
  • Too Faced Cosmetics Sweet Peach Papa Don’t Peach Blush - I've also been working on this in my project pan and still have progress to make, so I've been using this blush lots lately and it's perfect for Spring!
I enjoyed all of these products this month!

FIVE

declutter

I did a little declutter for the month of May - I passed on a few scents, the Lavender perfume, and Miss So scents are all good, I just have a lot of scent and wear a minimal amount, so I'd like to pass them on to someone who will use them! Also, I noticed some of my opened single nail wraps were getting a little old and dried out, so I tossed a lot of them, plus I got rid of one set of Scratch wraps with animals that I've had for a while and just haven't used! Also, I got this Nails Inc kit for free with an order and I just don't think I will wear that green and have a very similar pink shimmery polish!

I hope you all have a great weekend!
