For the month of May, the #CBBxManiMonday group chose the theme of "May Flowers", so this week I went with a hand-painted, colourful mix of flowers! I really wanted the bright yellow base and I love how it turned out!
In my garden at home, my flowers are just starting to grow, so I'm hopeful in a couple of weeks that my garden will be this full and bright!
The products that I used for this week's mani are:
- Formula X Nail Cleanser
- OPI Infinite Shine Primer
- OPI Don't Tell A Sol polish
- Orly Instant Artist in Crisp White
- Charlotte Russe Blue Nail Art polish
- Butter London x Pantone polish in Ultra Violet
- Kiss nail art paint polish in orange
- BMC (now Maniology) red nail art polish
- Sally Hansen polish in Fuschia Power
- Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in Caribbean Coral
- nail dotting tool and brushes (not pictured)
I started with nail cleanser, base coat and two coats of yellow polish as a base colour. Then, I started with the base of the flowers - white and pink blobs created with large nail dotting tools. I created the base of the blue flower with the nail art brush, and the purple and coral nails were created with a mini dotting creating petals for them. Then I added white and purple dots for the centre of some flowers, as well as orange and red accents to the white flowers. Then, I added some purple, blue and orange dots to the nails and finished with a nail art polish top coat.
I hope you all have a great week! As always, make sure you check out Cosmetic Proof and Prairie Beauty Love for their #CBBxManiMonday for their floral nails!
I really love those colors. I have to try this.
