All month long for #CBBxManiMonday we are featuring red and pink manis - this theme speaks to me because pink nails are my default!
I'm actually not a huge Valentine's person myself - my version of romance is a heart shaped pizza, but I actually love the Valentine's aesthetic - everything is hearts and cute and over the top! I love it!
The polishes I used for this week's mani are:
- ORLY nail polish in Cake Pop
- Sally Hansen polish in Fuschia Power
- Butter London polish in Ultra Violet
- Innisfree polish #204 Jessie
- Moyra Top Coat for Nail Stamping
And, I forgot to add it to the picture; but, I also used a dotting tool.
To complete this manicure, I started with a nail cleanser and base coat. Then I applied two coats of the light pink ORLY polish. Then with the red polish and dotting tool, I created a couple of hearts on each nail - you dot 2 dots beside each other and drag the dot down (here is the original tutorial!). Then, using the red I added a couple of dots as well to each nail. Then I added dots with the purple and pink (the pink ended up looking too similar to the red, but it was too late to change it! I concentrated the dots at the top of the nail. Then, I finished with a nail art top coat!
As always, make sure you check out the other #CBBxManiMonday manis - Cosmetic Proof, Prairie Beauty Love, and Tea & Nail Polish to see their pink and red nails too!
Aww this is cute with the dotted hearts.
