This post is a review of all the masks I use each month - I also consider the Month of Masks my Mask Empties post, because I do not feature my sheet masks in my monthly empties post! You can check out my past Month of Masks here!
November 10
Secret Nature - Volcanic Ash Pore Pack ~ $19.90. Volcanic Ashes etc makes the pore smaller & get rid of waste on pore at the same time. It delivers minerals to the skin So it make the complexion clear.
I received this in a past Memebox and really like it! It is fun too use and when applied makes the skin very cool! It helps clear up my skin and feels awesome! It's a bit hard to rinse off but other than that it is great!
I have to say, I was really trying to be good about using masks this month, but November was crazy for me and sadly my skincare did not get the attention that it needed - trust me I felt the repercussions of not using enough masks this month and I will redeem myself next month!
Here a review of my Masks of November:
November 1
Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel Sensitive ~ full size $39. Juice Beauty’s bestselling, patented GREEN APPLE™ Peel exfoliates and refines to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and lighten hyperpigmentation. Delivers spa grade exfoliation revealing a brighter complexion while firming the skin. A Daily Essential for all skin types.
I count my peels as masks so hopefully that's okay with you! I would like to do peels once every 2 weeks but let's be honest, I don't do them that often. They shouldn't be done too often, no more than once a week. I liked that it was designed for sensitive skin because it didn't burn or make my skin red - just felt refreshed after. My only complaint about this is that it is slightly runny so it is hard to apply. I featured this on a Skincare Sunday post and you can view the whole post here.
November 2
Beauty Mate Anti-Blemish Repairing Mask ~ $1.52 (10 masks for $15.50 CDN or $89.90 HK). Aloe provides natural moisture-locking factor to keep the skin supple and delicate in all environments, and is ideal for acne-prone skin. Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract helps to regulate the water and oil level of the skin to prevent appearance of blemishes.
I received this in a Mask Genie pouch and my skin was not feeling great so I thought I would use it right away! I liked this and thought it worked well on my skin - made my skin feel clearer and smooth!
November 5
Bio Republic Skincare Green Tea Detox Purifying Fiber Mask Set ~ $4.83 per mask (set of 3 for $14.50). Gone are the days of attacking our blemishes with harsh chemicals and scrubs. These days, we prefer to kill ’em with kindness. These spa-worthy sheet masks are infused with natural green tea extract and plant collagen to give skin a boost of healing antioxidants while removing excess sebum (the oily residue that clogs pores). With smooth, nourished skin like this, we’re never fighting dirty again.
I loved the fit of this mask and thought it had a ton of essence and worked well for my skin! I was happy with how my skin looked after and I would likely repurchase.
November 8
Mask of Magnaminty ~ 125g for $13.95 (there is a bigger size 315g for $25.95). Mask of Magnaminty isn’t technically a daily ‘facial wash’; it’s actually a deep cleansing face and back mask. China clay and fresh peppermint reach deep down to pull the debris from your pores, giving you that delightful tingly-clean sensation. We add loads of aduki beans to exfoliate flaky or dry skin, vanilla absolute to calm redness and honey to soothe. Our inventors created Mask of Magnaminty to be the ‘ultimate face mask’, intense but not harsh or abrasive on the skin. We recommend using Mask of Magnaminty weekly to keep the skin in good condition.
I featured this mask on a Skincare Sunday post - see the whole post here! I really loved this mask - it went on and was instantly cooling and felt awesome! My only critique of this mask (and all Lush masks for that matter) is that it is a bit hard to rinse off and takes quite a few rinses to fully rinse the mask off. My skin felt great after and I am happy to use this up!

Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask ~ full size is 60 ml for $131.93 (this sample is 10 ml for $21.98). Black Rose Cream Mask offers the skin "instant youth". Rich in active anti-aging ingredients (Black Rose, Padina pavonica, and Alkekengi calyx extracts), it immediately gets to work on signs of fatigue and leaves the skin looking youthful and energized. It brings together three actions to restore a luminous complexion and redensified skin in just 10 to 15 minutes: a smoothing and plumping action, a revitalizing action, a softening and hydrating action. Deliciously scented with rose, this soft, creamy mask creates a moment of relaxation and pleasure.
This mask went on as a thin layer and stayed on for 15 minutes prior to rinsing off - it didn't have much excess to wipe off after 15 minutes. It made my skin feel extra soft - I will use it as a mask and as a night cream to make my skin feel great!
November 16
Cleomee Donkey Real Milk Oil Mask ~ full size $3.50 (currently on Amazon.ca for $11.50 a piece!). Treat yourself to a mini facial at home with this highly moisturizing sheet mask. The donkey milk and oil blend works to provide whitening and wrinkle care while also providing soothing and nourishing effects.
Oh man, I should never go 5 days without using a mask again! I received this in a Mishibox and I was in serious need of super hydration. I know the use of donkey oil in skincare is very controversial, but I thought I would give this a try. I quite liked this mask and it really did make my skin feel awesome! I'm not sure I would go out of my way to repurchase this (since they are $11 each on Amazon), but I would certainly use another if I were given one!

Peter Roth Cucumber Gel Mask ~ sample size (full size is 5 oz. for $56). A refreshing, cooling, moisturizing, and calming gel that helps soothe dry, irritated skin.
I received this mask in a swap (and a recent Sephora order) and was excited to try it out! I have quite liked all the the cucumber mask I have tried - Peter Roth is an expensive brand I was excited to try it! I did find it soothing and refreshing on the skin! I think I may have to try it a little more to see the full results!
Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Mask "Mugwort" ~ $1.64. The symbol of vitality mugwort is full of nutrition and makes your skin clear.
This isn't the usual material of the other Innisfree masks I have tried (the Skin Solution masks - which are some of my favorite material for masks!), but this was still good. It fit a little bigger than I normally like and had a little bit of extra essence. It made my skin feel and look good!
My Beauty Diary 2-Step Africa Hydrating Pack ~ $2.36 (pack of 8 for $18.90). Two-step hydrating treatment replenishes lost moisture and then seals it in for prolonged softness and suppleness with renewed vitality. First step is to wear the moisturizing mango mask on clean and dry face, leaving it on for 20-30 minutes to allow skin to fully absorb the concentrated beauty essence. After removing mask, pat in remaining essence and then massage the emulsion to lock in moisture for round the clock comfort.
I posted about this mask on a Wine and Mask Wednesday, you can see the full post here. This was a different 2 step mask and included the sheet mask as the first step and an emulsion to apply as the second step. I find My Beauty Diary masks generally fit a little big, but this one fit okay. I liked the mask and thought it had lots of essence and worked well - I liked this emulsion but it smelled a little musky to me.
The Face Shop Rice Mask ~ $2. A mask sheet that has rice extract keeps the skin spot-free and bright.
This is my go to inexpensive sheer mask - they are only $2 each, and often have sales going on where you can get some free! This mask always makes my skin look and feel awesome!
Cranberry Festive Face Mask ~ $8.95. A festive face mask inspired by traditional Christmas ingredients to deep cleanse, soften and nourish skin. When you're exposed to dry winter air outdoors and heating indoors, skin can feel parched and look a little dull. Indulge in a healthy dose of antioxidant cranberries and cleansing fennel seed infusion to brighten, while argan oil and rose clay leave skin looking matte and feeling luxuriously soft.
I loved that Lush released a fresh mask for the holidays! I love that it is pink and smells amazing! I featured this on a Skincare Sunday post and you can see the full post here. This hardens after 10 minutes and gets a touch itchy if you don't rinse it off right away! Also, like the other Lush mask it was hard to rinse off, but made my skin feel great!
Again, I was a bit disappointed that I didn't use enough masks this month - I am going to make a huge effort to use a mask per day in December!
