March 2015 Ipsy Glam Bag - Beauty Sample Subscription Review

Ipsy is one of the inexpensive beauty bag sample subscriptions. You receive 4-5 deluxe sample size or full size products each month. The cost is $10 US (+ $4.95 shipping to Canada).

Ipsy is generally make-up products with a mix of skin, nail, and hair products based on a beauty profile you complete. There is usually 12-18 products that are selected from each month! You can view your "glam room" online that tells you all the products you will receive each month (I really like to keep it a surprise so I don't check ahead of time!) You also receive a make-up bag each month with your products.

Here is a look at my March Ipsy Bag:

The theme of the March bag is "Floral Fantasy".

Here is a closer look at the products:

Coolway Glow Oil Treatment ~ sample size 10 ml for $3 (full size is 100 ml for $29.95). Perfect your style with a runway-ready Glow! Ordinary finishing oils are designed to add vibrancy back into hair but often contain Sulfates, Parabens, Alcohol and other ingredients that can make hair dull, dry, and faded. °Coolway’s Glow™ contains none of these harmful components. It combines a natural and nutrient-rich formula of Vitamin E and Porphyra Seaweed extract to maintain moisture and balance so your hair remains beautiful and shiny throughout the day.
This is probably one of the smaller samples I received from Ipsy and I'm not thrilled with a hair oil. My hair is very fine, so I feel like an oil would make it look too greasy?! I think I am going to pass this product on!

Pur~lisse Pur~delicate Gentle Soy Milk Cleanser and Makeup Remover ~ sample size 1 oz for $6.43 (full size is 5.6 oz for $36). Appreciate your skin, don’t irritate it. Cleanse the day away in one simple step with this sulfate-free blend of Soy Milk, Whole Oat and White Tea. This gentle cleanser leaves your face silky soft, without a trace of impurity. The 4-in-1 sulfate free & non-drying formula gently washes away dirt and makeup (even mascara!), while soothing and toning skin.
I know some people were irritated in the past with the amount of pur~lisse in bags (to be fair, it was all the same lotion), but I did like their products. I like that this is sulphate free and is a good size!

Chella Ivory Lace Highlighter ~ full size $18. This fresh and pretty neutral pencil will brighten and visibly lift your eyes when lightly applied on the brow bone, dark circles, blemishes and red spots. In addition, this multi-purpose pencil can be used to brighten and “open” the eye area by applying to the water line and inner corners of the eye. Applying a thin, blended line down the center of the nose creates the illusion of a thinner nose. Perfect for highlighting a beautiful smile by eliminating dark shadows and preventing lipstick spread by applying to the Cupid ’s bow and along the lip line.
This is the first non-shimmer highlighter I have seen. I like that this almost doubles as a concealer with blemishes, etc. On my hand is a swatch of the highlighter - I like this product!

Marsk Mineral Eyeshadow in "Fifty Shades" ~ full size $22.50. MARSK Mineral Eyeshadows are 100% natural, mineral based loose powder that are strictly cruelty free and available in a range of striking shades that offer endless color possibilities for a professional makeup effect. Featuring a creamy texture, these highly pigmented powders can be used both wet and dry, are easily blendable and offer you the ability to create depth and intensity around the eye.
This is a very shimmery dark grey - will be really pretty on a smoky eye! I like the formula of this brand's eyeshadows so I am very happy with this!

NYX Butter Lipstick in "Pops" ~ full size $6. Pamper your lips with a hydrating kiss of smooth Butter Lipstick in 22 luxurious shades. The delicate texture of satin fused with the high color saturation creates an even finish on lips that’s long-wearing and beautiful.
Pops is describes as a shade of Mauve - this is an okay color (not my favorite) and is very soft for a lipstick! I like the formula!

So for $15, I received 5 products (3 full sized!) with a total value of $55.93! I am very happy with most of these products - the only thing I didn't like is the hair oil and I wish the lipstick was a different color!
