August 2017 - What I Bought This Month!

It's time for my monthly haul - I have really enjoyed seeing what I buy every month! I like that I get to share everything I have purchased (because really some of it would get lost in my beauty collection if I didn't!) Also these posts helps to keep me on track - I am planning on trying to only spend around $100 per month on beauty since I am be on a smaller budget now with a new baby! 

I will only include products I have spent money on - gifts, pr samples, and freebies are usually shared on posts like my Five on Friday posts! 

Here is what I bought in August:

Mall Haul ~ $19.30. I love when I go shopping and get some freebies in there too! I only spent $0.50 at The Face Shop - these 2 masks together were $10, but I had some points from my loyalty card so I got $10 for free and only had to pay the tax! Then, I went to Lush and bought a Sleepy lotion and Scrubee and got my Oatifix for free (for returning 5 empty black pots).

August 2017 Boxycharm - Unboxing, Review, Swatches and Makeup Try-on!

Boxycharm is a beauty subscription box for $21.00 a month + $5.00 shipping to Canada (shipping is free to the U.S.) Boxycharm sends 4 to 5 full size and luxury size beauty items. 

This subscription focuses heavily on make-up items - so that is something to keep in mind! While it is a little pricier than the more inexpensive beauty boxes, the majority of the products are full size, with a deluxe sample every once in a while. 

Every subscriber generally receives the same products, but their is usually 1 or 2 items that have a few variations, so our boxes may not be identical!

December 2016 - Monthly Favorites!

Here is a look at what I have been loving in December! 

Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel ~ $9.95 for 100 ml. Oh how we've missed lathering up in those fluffy pink bubbles! We crave Snow Fairy's bubblegum and sweet vanilla fragrance all year, and just can't imagine the holidays without her. Our famous fairy contains a smattering of biodegradable shimmering luster (or as we like to call it, Fairy Dust), so she won't harm the earth one little bit. And this year, Snow Fairy’s formula has been expertly rebalanced to be totally self-preserving, so no synthetic preservatives are required.

This is the BEST December scent ever - this is always a special edition Christmas release! It is a delicious, sweet scent and this is the best shower gel! I also throw this in to ever bath I have too! So good! 

November 2016 Boxycharm - Review and Unboxing

Boxycharm is a beauty subscription box for $21.00 a month + $5.00 shipping to Canada (shipping is free to the U.S.) Boxycharm sends 4 to 5 full size and luxury size beauty items. (This is only the 5th month they have been shipping to Canada and I was so excited when they started shipping to Canada!)

September 2016 - Ipsy Glambag Review and Unboxing!

Ipsy is one of the original inexpensive beauty bag sample subscriptions. You receive 4-5 deluxe sample size or full size products each month. The cost is $10 US (+ $4.95 shipping to Canada - you will have to factor in our crazy exchange rate right now!)

Ipsy is generally make-up products with a mix of skincare, nail polish, and hair products based on a beauty profile you complete. There is usually 12-18 products that are selected from each month! You can view your "glam room" online that tells you all the products you will receive each month. You also receive a make-up bag each month with your products.

Ipsy always ships out in it's signature pink mailer, and here is a look at what came inside!

This month's theme is "Glamazon" - Full-on glamour is back. Put away your sweatpants, let down your ponytail and get glammed up just for the hell of it. Woke up like this? As if. I'm not the biggest fan of this bag, personally but it's not a big deal to me; I usually like them.
