I actually don't typically go for a glowy look or overly oily/shiny skin, but I thought with these being really skincare focused that they might have some good balance for my skin!
I love a skin tint, and I've been really in to cream blushes so I thought a liquid blush would be fun to try out too!
Revlon Illuminance Serum Tint - 309 Buff Beige ~ $24.99 CAN. Revlon Illuminance Serum Tint has light coverage to instantly enhance your complexion, even skin tone, and visibly reduce dark spots - with results in 4 to 8 weeks. With skin-caring ingredients: Ginger Root Extract + Vitamin C + Vitamin E. Hydrates all day.
This is formulated with Ginger Root, Vitamin C and Vitamin E and interestingly has claims that overall will improve the look of skin over consistent use. I use a vitamin c serum regularly so this isn't a claim I've personally put to the test!
For me, I was looking for a light coverage tint and this certainly offered that - I thought it applied the best with a sponge and wore really well on the skin. It lasts a whole work day and beyond and doesn't look patchy. I quite like it, but I don't think it gives an illuminating finish at all. I would call it a natural finish (which for me works - again I don't love too much of a glow). It dries down quickly without leaving a sticky or tacky finish making it really comfortable too.
Here's a look at shade 209 Buff Beige on me - it's a good shade, if not a touch light on me. Again the finish is nice and I thought it wore well.
Revlon Illuminance Gel Serum Blush - Beaming Coral ~ $18.99 CAN. Revlon Illuminance Gel Serum Blush provides sheer color and visibly plumps cheeks with a healthy-looking glow. Infused with skin-caring Superfood Complex + Glycerin. Hydrates all day.
I'm newer to the liquid blush line - it's not a product I've tried a ton of, so I don't have a lot to compare it to! But again, this feels like it's skincare focused and I do love that especially if you are pairing it with a light cover base (like the serum tint!)
This is a little squeezy tube applicator and it does come out slow, but it does mean you need to squeeze it on to something before application (like your hand or a palette). I used a stippling brush to apply this and it's quite pigmented so a little goes a long way! I would start small and then build up to the amount you want. This wore for a whole work day, but didn't last a whole day on my cheeks. It does dry down and wear well on the cheeks.
Here is a look at Beaming Coral swatched on me - a really nice shade and a nice sheen on the finish!
Overall, I thought both of these products were good. I do think they are a little on the pricier side for drugstore products, so something to keep in mind if you are keeping price in mind. I thought both products wore well and looked nice - for me, these are both good products, not knock-your-socks-off-amazing, but good products. I will use this for work and a more casual situation and the blush when I want something bright for a day wear.
Have you tried these products before?!
