Happy Saturday everyone! Hope you had a great week! Mine was tiring - so happy it's the weekend!

Time to share my TBR list for the month - I'm usually trying to read a mix of new and older books; but, this month, I'm pretty excited for some newer YA books that have been released lately, so that's what I'm focusing on for March! I always try and plan my reading with themes; but, honestly, I usually manage to stick to the theme for most of the month, then I grab something I'm in the mood for, which is usually different!
I always track my books on GoodReads, so if you have GoodReads and want to connect - you can find me here! I really love seeing what everyone is reading and I always find recommendations for myself from your reading lists! Here's what I'm planning on reading:
- All The Tides of Fate by Adalyn Grace ~ This is the follow up to last year's All The Stars and Teeth and I enjoyed that one - it left a bit of a shock at the end of the first book, so I'm excited to see what happens in this one. It's a YA fantasy that has blood magic, mermaids, and pirates!
- These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong ~ This was one of the books that came in a recent Owlcrate box, and it's described as an "imaginative re-telling of Romeo and Juliet set in 1920's Shanghai" which sounds so good!
- Concrete Rose by Angie Thomas ~ I loved Angie Thomas's first two books - The Hate You Give and On The Come Up, so when she announced Concrete Rose and that it was about Starr's father, Maverick. I have read this one already and it was amazing - 5 stars! I will share a full review soon, but this was fantastic!
- Tales From The Hinterland by Melissa Albert ~ If you've read The Hazel Wood duology, the you've heard the reference to the original dark fairytales - Tales From A Hinterland. I was so excited when this book inside a book was written because it sounds amazing! I love a dark fairytale and I can't wait to read these!
- Lore by Alexandra Bracken ~ This is another Owlcrate book and this one is about greek gods who are sent back down to Earth every few years as a punishment and while they are down on Earth, they are hunted! I used to read a lot of greek mythology, so I'm looking forward to this version!
What are you planning on reading this month?
TWO
Both of my kitties turned 8 this past week and they are so cute all snuggled up here on Damian's bed - I busted them, they normally pretend not to care that much about each other. Even though we got them at different times, Max and Mephisto are only a couple of days apart (Mephisto's birthday is a guess because he was found in a dumpster at a couple of days old)!
THREE
Last weekend I made our Superhero night a self care night - ha! How cute are these Miniso x Marvel eye masks?! I have the sheet masks, but I don't think they are printed, so Elliott saw these ones in my makeup room and insisted we try them out and he loved them - Damian couldn't wait to be done! They were fun to do; but, I wish they were easier to find! They aren't online, so they must only be in the biggest stores because I haven't seen them in Calgary either!
FOUR
I picked up a few new things from Old Navy for a little Spring refresh and I'm really happy with it all! First are the two dresses: Sleeveless Jersey-Knit Swing Dress for Women in Mauve Tie Dye, and the Waist-Defined Long-Sleeve Midi T-Shirt Dress for Women in Dark Gray Leopard Print. Then I picked up the Breathe ON Cross-Front Sleeveless Jumpsuit for Women in Grand Canyon - I picked this up in Tall to make sure it was long enough! And, I picked up the Jean Jacket For Women in New Dark Authentic.
FIVE
Do you guys watch Canada Reads?! I'm such a book nerd, that I totally love listening to people debate and talk about the best Canadian books - I'm looking forward to reading all of these titles and enjoyed the week! Certainly going to pick up the winner, Jonny Appleseed right away and Hench!
I hope you all have a great weekend!
