Tarte Tartelette Tease Eyeshadow Palette - Review, Swatches, and Makeup Looks

Before my U.S. shopping haul, I hadn't treated myself to a new palette for a while! I had been considering quite a few Tarte palettes, and settled on the "Tease" palette as it had some beautiful shades!

While I did personally buy this is the U.S., I will post all the information in Canadian dollars as it is available on Sephora Canada!

Tarte Tartelette Tease Eyeshadow Palette - Review, Swatches, and Makeup Looks

Tarte "Tartelette Tease" ~ $30.00 CAN. Create amazing shadow looks with this clay-infused, pocket-perfect version of tarte’s bestselling Tartelette™ palette. It features four everyday matte shadows paired with two captivating lusters so you can refresh, define, and transition your eyes from day to evening. The flirty, flattering shades feature lid, crease, and highlight pairings so tartelettes can create modern, alluring looks without the guesswork. Powered by tarte’s signature Amazonian clay formula, these shadows offer the same pigmented payoff, blendability, and wear time as with the original tartelette palette, but in a chic, petite case.

This mini palette was a little smaller than I expected, but it is so cute and actually a really handy size - it would be a great little travel size palette for a quick trip! It has a magnetic closure and is a little box to put it in.

The shades in this palette are beautiful! It has a mix of matte and shimmery shades - and has a good mix of highlight, lid, and crease shadows to make pairings quick and easy! There is also a good mix that you can make your own combinations!

Here is the palette swatched - 1 swipe using my finger, no primer, and no photoshopping!

Whisper - light pink
Crush - taupe shimmer
Heartbreaker - brown
Wink - light mauve
First Kiss - mauve shimmer
BFF - plum

The pigmentation is great and the shades are great - the shimmer colors (especially Crush) are gorgeous! The deeper shades are slightly patchy when applied like this, but testing them with primer on the eyes they do not look patchy and blend well. All other shadows apply great, there is a bit of fallout with the shimmery shades but not too much to be worried about.

I created 2 looks using this palette - a daytime and an evening look:

This look includes: Whisper in the highlight section and corner of eye, Heartbreaker and Whisper combined on the lid, Crush patted on lid overtop, and Heartbreaker in the crease. (Additionally, I used The Balm eyeliner Mr. Write (Now) in Scott B. Bordeaux and They're Real Lash Primer on the lashes).

This look includes: Wink in the highlight and corner of the eyes, First Kiss and BFF combined on the lid, and BFF in the crease. (Additionally,I used Stila Stay All Day Liner and Rollerlash Mascara)

I'm happy with this palette - it has a great range and can really vary well between day and evening looks! Have you tried the Tartelette Tease palette yet? What do you think?
