June 2014 Summer Luxe Box by Loose Button Review

Luxe Box is a quarterly beauty subscription by Loose Button. It is a Canadian Company and they send out their beauty box at the start of each season. The cost is $26.00 Canadian quarterly ($27.30 with tax). Shipping is included in the price and I believe they currently only ship to Canada! The price is $25 a box if you sign up for 2 boxes and $24 a box if you sign up for a year (4 boxes). You will receive 7-8 full size and sample size products.

I was really excited to receive this box - I love the idea of a quarterly box and that the Company is Canadian! It looks like from past reviews that they send out quality name brand products as well.

Here is a look:

I love the packaging - I received a few boxes in the mail that were a little beat up, but this one was sturdy and all the products came in a silky drawstring bag. I did not receive a product card - but their is a product dashboard to review all the products.

Here is a look at what came in the box:
Fekkai PRX Reparatives Shampoo - sample size 2 oz for $5 (full size is 8 oz for $20) Helps repair, fortify and strengthens. This shampoo smells great & I tried it this morning. It was okay, I didn't find it anything special; however, it appears that people really love this brand!

Fekkai PRX Reparatives Conditioner - sample size 2 oz for $5(full size is 8 oz for $20). Described as masterfully crafted repairing conditioner. Again, I tried this in the morning and liked both of the products. I don't think it is enough for me to switch brands but these are great for traveling and I will use them!

Teeez Trendy Cosmetics Nail Lacquer in "Pretty in Pyrite" - full size product for $14. I tried to swatch this nail polish for you to see - the right amount of shimmer and looks full covering. What I really love about these boxes is finding new brands like Teeez (so far I have really enjoyed this brand). The nail polish are 3-free.

Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner in Black - full size product for $19. Described as easy to apply, long lasting, and smudge-proof. I loved this eyeliner instantly! The brush has a perfect tip and goes on smoothly. I can attest that is totally smudge-proof! Great product - i use liquid eyeliner daily so this is great for me!

L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream - sample size 8 ml $1.60 (full size is $30 for 150 ml). This is quite a small sample size and I have not tried this hand cream before. It is very nice and is a great little purse size!

Loose Button Gel Eyepads - full size pair for $30. Soothing eye masks to help relax, reduce eye puffiness and can help reduce headache and sinus pain. Can be used warmed up or cooled down.

Eslor Introductory Collection Calming Kit - sample size $15 for 20ml for all 4 products (full size is $45 for 4 products 60ml combined). I just received these in my Beauty Box 5 subscription. I am actually happy about that - more product for me to try!! I have not opened my other sample; however, reading other reviews on those who received these LOVE the products. I am very excited to try all the products.

Loose Button Angled Tweezers - $13 full size product. So Loose Button sends one of their products every month. I think I may have received this extra product in error as I did already received the eye pads and this was not on my product dashboard! But hey - I will take it! Who doesn't need an extra pair of tweezers!

IRIS Lampwork Glass Beads by Joseph Nogucci - 2 beads for $30. Handmade silver plated Murano glass beads. These products are fully compatible with all major worldwide brands of beads and charms. These are beautiful; however, I do not have a beaded bracelet to wear these with! They came in a cute little bag - I think I will put these in my giveaway pile and find someone with a bracelet these will fit on!

And as a bonus all subscribers received:
3 packs of Crest 3D white-strips and toothpaste for $5 each for a total of $15. Sounds like the white-strips work really great and the toothpaste will be great for travel!

I am very happy with my first Luxe Box! For $27.30 I received $147.60 worth of products (including the bonus Crest products!). I will use most of the products and will find someone to use the products I can't.

Did you get this season's Luxe Box? What did you think?

    1. Hi Tara-Lynn, it's kind of hard to say right now actually! I really enjoyed this box I received and I have used all the items (except for the beads) and it had a great value. I think the problem may be the boxes really vary, and I saw some reviews that weren't great on the Summer Box. I will be able to tell in the Fall with the Sept box as well - I always want to try and help out the Canadian companies, because they can be so easily lost in the ton of American Beauty Boxes - so I am really hoping the Fall box is good!
