I always look forward to June, since like last year, the #CBBxManiMonday group is switching it up a little bit this month and the theme is Allyship - June is both Pride Month and Indigenous History Month. Each week we will be sharing manis based on our allyship with these causes and sharing resources to help draw attention to, informative information or agencies in our areas that are assisting people. 

Quarterly Beauty Empties ~ January - March 2022

Monthly Empties posts were getting a little overwhelming - they were a lot to write and keep notes about. I've decided to still talk about empties, but only makeup products and skincare products (no more body, hair, nail or personal care products!) It was just getting too much, but I still want to share my thoughts on products I've used up!

Clarins Wonder Perfect Mascara 4D Waterproof in 01 Perfect Black ~ $34.00 CAN. Wonder Perfect Mascara 4D Waterproof gives your lashes volume, length, curve and definition for flawless four-dimensional eyes as it visibly lengthens and thickens lashes more every day.

I did not love this mascara - I found it a little spidery and a little flaky on the lashes. It also didn't really add any oomph to my lashes that I was looking for. I also think it's older in my collection, so that may have impacted the wear of this. I actually didn't finish this because it just didn't do anything for my lashes. 

Repurchase: No 

Manicure Saturday - Paper Airplanes & Blue Skies Nails

Happy Manicure Saturday everyone! (I'm coming in a little early this week, because honestly it's going to a busy weekend - my oldest is turning 17 at the start of the week so I will be busy baking and celebrating my not so baby boy!)

The whole month of January, the #CBBxManiMonday group is doing purple and blue nails for the 2022 Colour of the Year "Very Peri" - last week's nails were purple, so I'm going back in to the blues this week!

I do try and plan my costumes around what my kids want to be and when Elliott said that he wanted to be something from the Spiderverse (it was Spiderman for quite a while), I knew that I wanted to be Gwen Stacy in her Spider costume - Ghost Spider! 

June Shop My Stash ~ Summer Bright Red Lipstick Look featuring Cheekbone Beauty Sustain Lipliner and Lipstick

June is Indigenous History month, and Cheekbone Beauty shared a beautiful story about the origin story of the strawberry or heart berry and it was beautiful (they look like hearts when they are cut in half) - they are so important because they symbolize our relationship with the mind, body, and spirit.

So, I was very inspired to complete a Heart Berry inspired makeup look and went and picked up a Sustain Lip Pencil and matching lipstick and I loooove these - the finish is stunning and the products both wore so well! 

April Shop My Stash ~ Coral Pink Makeup Look

Coral and pinks are some of favourite colours to play with on my eyes, and it's been a little while since I've done a full face of makeup so I grabbed my favourite shades and just played!

I love how bright and pretty this turned out - the corals and pinks are just giving me all the Spring and Summer vibes (as it's still snowing here in Calgary today)!

For the month of March, the CBBxManiMonday group is doing Spring nails and I'm still waiting for real Spring to happen! Spring in Calgary this weekend meant 19 degrees on Saturday and snowing on Sunday - it's all over the place and chances are you will be over or underdressed on any given day! 

Monthly Beauty Haul - March 2021

I always love these haul posts - it's a way to keep track of everything that I picked up every month. I don't always blog about everything I pick up (I try to), but if you ever spot anything in here that you really want me to talk about, let me know! 

Last year, I got a little crazy about trying to stick to a crazy budget and this year I'm just going to buy what I want and try and be reasonable about my purchases! 

(Also, I'm only sharing what I received every month now since I'm not trying to stick to a crazy budget, so some things I ordered in February will show up in my March haul now, ect!)

Sephora Order ~ $50.40 CAN. I was so excited to see Danessa Myricks in Sephora now, so naturally I had to pick up a foil multi-use products! I can't wait to use this! I also picked up a new set of the Ciate nail stickers and I can't wait to use them. The Kate Somerville was a free sample!

MAC Cosmetics Mini MAC Prep + Prime Fix+ Primer and Setting Spray ~ $18.00 CAN. A lightweight water mist that finishes makeup, while gently soothing and refreshing skin.

This was a little mini I've been carrying around in my purse for a while - I like this as a refresher during the day while wearing makeup because it won't mess up my makeup. I also prefer this as a primer and don't use it soley as a setting spray.

Happy 6 Year Blogiversary! Celebrating With A Giveaway!

Today, May 12, marks the 6th Blogiversary of See The World in PINK! It's a little crazy that 6 years ago I started this blog with a little Manicure Monday post - Hearts, Glitter and Stripes! I actually started this blog with reviewing subscription boxes and my manicures (so they have been a regular since the start!)

It took me a couple of years before I started doing full beauty content and really getting in to the makeup and skincare side of things! But, I'm so happy I've expanded in those areas and I love where See The World in PINK has gone over the past 6 years! I know I'm still a tiny blog in the beauty world; but, I'm still happy with everything that I've gotten to do over the past few years!

Glamglow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in Nude Glow ~ sample size (full size is $64.00 CAN). A daily illuminating moisturizer to give your skin an instant hydrated glow—with hyaluronic acid, green tea, and highlighting pearl particles, your skin will be moisturized, energized, and glowing.

I really like this moisturizer - it's super glowy and bright and it's amazing mixed with a light tinted moisturizer just for a gentle glow to the skin (you can see it on me like that here!) This also smells so good! 
Repurchase: I did really like it and I have another sample to use! 

Skincare Sunday - Ciate London Watermelon Burst Hydrating Eye Patches

It's been a minute since I've done a mask review here on Skincare Sunday! I'm hoping to get back in to the regular swing of things!

Doucce Fierce & Fine Graphic Pen ~ $21.00 US. The design of the felt tip applicator allows you to create either a thick or thin line depending on the amount of pressure used during application. 

This was just okay - it had a decently flexible felt tip which I did like using and the pigmentation was pretty good. It's not my favourite liquid liner and while it's good, it doesn't feel $21 US good. (You can see it in a look here).

Manicure Monday - Scratch Reverie Wraps with Gold Foil Accents

Happy Manicure Monday! This whole month, the #CBBxManiMonday group is all doing our nails based on the theme "Nails We Wouldn't Normally Do"! 

So, these look very similar to nails that I would do; but, I definitely added some techniques that I don't normally do! 

So, the first thing I don't normally every do is negative space nails - I think I've done it twice ever, and to be totally honest, I'm not the biggest fan of my nails peeking through! And then, I added nail foils which I've never done before! (I think I'm years behind trying this!)

Manicure Monday - Christmas Ornament Nail Art!

"O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree, How lovely are thy branches" - what am I going to do when I have to find another back drop rather than use my Christmas tree anymore?! We are just over a week away from Christmas and I couldn't be more excited! 

One of my favorite Christmas past times is decorating the tree - we always get a real tree and there is just something about the smell and getting the decorations all set up that just gets me in the Christmas spirit!

We just got all decorated for Christmas last night!!! It was so much fun - although, a little crazier with a toddler in the midst! I absolutely love Christmas, so we had Bing Crosby Christmas tunes playing for hours while we got set up! Ah...

Happy Manicure Monday! I have been wanting to do a Night Sky themed manicure with constellations for quite some time, so I'm so excited for this week's manicure! 

When I picked up a few of these Essence "Out Of Space Stories" polishes, I new this was the perfect time to do a Night Sky manicure! In addition to this manicure look, I also am swatching four of the polishes from the collection (and I used them all in this Night Sky mani)!

Happy Manicure Monday everyone! I am so happy to be back this week with freshly painted nails! 

I actually did really similar Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles nail art back in 2012, well before I was blogging; but, I still did my nails every week before blogging about them - Manicure Monday has been going on here forever! These have certainly been my most commented and loved nail art in the past and some friends and family still talk about how much they liked those nails!
