Ahh - another great book by one of my favourite authors! I'm excited to share my thoughts on Funeral Songs for Dying Girls by Cherie Dimaline. We meet our main character Winifred when she is about to turn 16, so she's at a pretty vulnerable stage in her life, but she's also dealing with the grief of losing her mom and while also facing her father potentially losing his job and them being evicted from caretaker at the cemetery. But, Winifred's late night prowling at the cemetery may have started a rumour that the cemetery is haunted and she wants to find a way to use that to save her home.

Today, May 12, marks the 7th Blogiversary of See The World in PINK! It's a little crazy that 7 years ago I started this blog with a little Manicure Monday post - Hearts, Glitter and Stripes! I actually started this blog with reviewing subscription boxes and my manicures (so they have been a regular since the start!)

It took me a couple of years before I started doing full beauty content and really getting in to the makeup and skincare side of things! But, I'm so happy I've expanded in those areas and I love where See The World in PINK has gone over the past 7 years!!! I know I'm still a tiny blog in the beauty world; but, I'm still happy with everything that I've gotten to do over the past few years in this little space!

I just received my April Owlcrate subscription and this month's theme is "Full Moon Magic". Each month the book Owlcrate includes is signed by the author and comes with a note from the author as well - they often have special edition covers just for the box, and they seem to include a lot of exclusive items just for Owlcrate, which is so fun! As a bookworm, I have been loving this subscription!

Happy Saturday everyone! I hope you all had a great week - again, mine has been super crazy as usual! We finally have a "quiet weekend" ahead, meaning that we don't have any more basketball tournaments or baby birthday parties and we need that!

Yay!! Time to celebrate See The World in PINK's 1 year Blogiversary!! I am very happy with how my first year has gone and I have worked really hard to continually upgrade See The World in PINK and make my blog a more enjoyable experience for my readers!
