Monthly Beauty and Book Haul ~ June 2024

Back in 2022, I set a monthly beauty and books budget at $200 per month and I've been pretty good about sticking to it! I am trying to be thoughtful in my purchases, so this has been holding me accountable for being reasonable with my spending. Since it worked so well last year, I'm really trying to do the same thing this year! 

I do always love my Monthly Haul posts - it's a good way to keep track of everything that I picked up each month. I don't always blog about everything I pick up (I try to), but if you ever spot anything in here that you really want me to talk about, let me know! 

Walmart Order ~ $36.13 CAN. I was super excited to try these bronzing drops from Lottie London and I've heard amazing things about the Milani Lip Stain - I can't wait to try these both soon! I have used the LA Colors Crackle Top Coat - you can see my review here!

I actually don't have any makeup favourites this month - I've been trying a couple of new things and playing with some old stuff, but nothing that stood out as amazing to me in the makeup department! But, I do have two purple nail polishes for balance! 

Five on Saturday - October 27, 2018

Happy Saturday everyone! Hope you all have had a great week! Mine has been crazy - my older son and I went to Penticton on Saturday to surprise my Dad for his 60th birthday, had a party and then came home on Sunday evening. Then, right after I got home, I left the next morning for 3 days in Edmonton for work! I got home late on Wednesday so Thursday and Friday were a total whirlwind! Ugh, I need a weekend!

January 2016 Birchbox Canada - Unboxing and Review

Birchbox is the original sample beauty box and started shipping to Canada last year. It is $10 a month + $4.95 shipping to Canada (you can save money by signing up for a year for $100 + shipping costs). Each month you receive 5 sample (or full size) products based on a beauty profile you complete.

Birchbox Canada describes itself as:

"Five personalized beauty samples delivered right to your door each month. It’s the best way to find the products you’ll love."

Recently, Birchbox Canada has made some changes - new products and new monthly features including curated boxes and sample choice. In addition, they started offering all the special boxes that American subscribers received.

1 Year Blogiversary! Celebrating With a Giveaway!!

Yay!! Time to celebrate See The World in PINK's 1 year Blogiversary!! I am very happy with how my first year has gone and I have worked really hard to continually upgrade See The World in PINK and make my blog a more enjoyable experience for my readers!

I started this blog a year ago thinking that I would have 1 reader (thanks mom!) and I wasn't even sure that she would enjoy reading all my shopping and beauty posts! I am happy to know that even though I am a small blog, there is people out there that have enjoyed reading it - so thank you so much!
