Last year I set a monthly beauty and books budget at $200 per month and I really stuck to it! I am trying to be thoughtful in my purchases, so this has been holding me accountable for being reasonable with my spending. Since it worked so well last year, I'm really trying to do the same thing this year!
I do always love my Monthly Haul posts - it's a good way to keep track of everything that I picked up each month. I don't always blog about everything I pick up (I try to), but if you ever spot anything in here that you really want me to talk about, let me know!
I purchased everything in this post
Sephora Order ~ $70.35 CAN. I only made a small order during the Sephora sale - I really wanted to try out the Rare Beauty Lip Oil (full review post here) as well as a couple of Glossier products (also reviewed in a full post here!) I also grabbed a Sephora Collection velour puff that I've been using lately. The samples were the Tom Ford primer and the Amika shampoo and conditioner.
Indigo Pre-orders ~ $44.42 CAN. I like to pre-order a bunch of anticipated books when there is good sales, so I've been loving what I've read so far from Emily Henry and TJ Klune so I'm so excited for both of their new books! Can't wait to read these!
Lush x Super Mario Bros Order ~ $48.30 CAN. I was so excited when Lush announced their Super Mario collection and I picked up the Princess Peach Body Spray and I love it. It made my April Monthly Favourites, and you can check that out here! This is such a bright, fruity scent and I enjoy the Lush sprays!
Amazon Book Orders ~ $47.14 CAN. This new Cherie Dimaline book was only available on Amazon, and I picked up The Secret Society of Irregular Witches and I enjoyed these both! You can see my reviews on them on my April Reads Wrap Up!
Facebook Find ~ $7.00 CAN. I really enjoyed this book on audio, so I had to pick it up for my shelves too - it's so good! And, I love finding a good used book price!
Easter Nail Polish ~ $8.39 CAN. I was really trying to find the Peeps nail polish - this is a textured finish that's really different. The only place I found this was on Amazon. You can see this polish swatched on me here!
ELF Order ~ $32.41 CAN. I had to put in an order for the new ELF Halo Glow wands when they were released - I ordered from the ELF website as they have a good point system, but shipping is a little slow. I am going to review all these products soon!
This month I spent $258.01 on beauty and books - this is probably the most over budget I've gone since I implemented my budget, but I like everything I've picked up so I think my purchases were intentional and well used!
