I'm a big fan of Jillian Harris, so when she announced that she was starting a subscription box, I was so excited! The box started with the Winter 2019 box and sadly, I was not one of the lucky originals who won a subscription spot, so I sign up every season and hope to get picked for a lottery spot!

The Jilly Box is a quarterly seasonal subscription box - the products within the box include some of Jillian’s (and Team Jilly’s!) favourite items (and brands) from home decor, fashion, bath and beauty, health and wellness, accessories perfect for each season. Some of the items included will be custom designed exclusively for the Jilly Box. The Jilly Box really focuses on including products from small, local businesses while being ethically sourced and inclusive. They also focus on reducing plastic waste and packaging - the big boxes can be turned inside out and reused! Also, they try to include Canadian, woman owned brands, as well as Bipoc and LGBTQ owned brands as well.
The Jilly Box is $199 CAN quarterly + taxes and includes free shipping to Canada and the U.S. And, while this is on the pricier end for a subscription box, it will contain at least $400 worth of products each season! The box is shipped out prior to the start of each season - so the Winter box shipped in mid-November.
The box always includes a little booklet that includes information about each product, recipes, interviews with makers and more! Here is a closer look at all the products in the Summer 2023 Jilly Box:
Business & Pleasure Co The Premium Cooler Bag ~ $99.00 CAN. One of the most important items for a hot Summer adventure is a cooler to keep my favourite snacks and drink chilled! This Premium Cooler Bag comes in the cutest peach and off-white striped pattern that is oh-so-cute and is the perfect beach accessory. It is also made with a Premium Beach Umbrella canvas which is treated with water and UV coatings to keep your cooler in the best condition. On the outside, this bag features stylish vegan leather handles and on the inside you'll see a stunning eco-friendly lining printed with an exclusive and vintage orange wedges design.
I love that this was included - I do have a big cooler bag, but this one is so cute and big for picnics, days out, beach, you name it! It's also got a great bottom so it can be used anywhere. I'm really excited for this and see myself get a lot of use out of it!
Tofino Towel Co. Jilly Summer Stripe Throw ~ $90.00 CAN. I can picture it already: sitting by the pool with a bottle of wine, a charcuterie board and maybe some fresh fruit on top of this adorable beach throw from Tofino Towel Co. Handwoven by master artisans using 100% organic and natural Turkish cotton, this throw is perfect for indoors or outdoors use! The striped pattern was created exclusively for The Jilly Box in the prettiest coral colour and it is seriously THE softest thing I have ever felt! Use it as a towel, a blanket or a beach chair throw; you name it!
This is gorgeous also! I'm so excited about this - love a gorgeous beach blanket, big towel! This is going to get so much use at the river, beach, you name it! I love this and it looks so pretty so I can't wait to use it - love that it is multi-purpose!
Jackson Rowe Paradise Peaches Tee ~ $49.00 CAN. Isn't this shirt just the cutest?! The vintage design was created by me and the Jackson Rowe team exclusively for The Jilly Box and it is absolutely adorable! The loose fit makes this tee so versatile and perfect to throw on when you're heading to the beach or to dress up for an evening out with the girls! The Paradise Peaches Tee comes pre-shrunk and is available in size 2XS to 3XL.
I love this t-shirt - it's certainly an oversized fit, but really cute to wear for a day! I love that this is not see-through and it looks really cute on. Can by tucked in, tied, or worn down. Really love this vintage style printed tee. Jackson Rowe is a brand that I've wanted to try so I'm excited for this!
Shady Lady Eyewear Vanessa Sunglasses ~ $55.00 CAN. I like to call these my celebrity sunglasses. Perfectly oversized and featuring UV 400 protection, safe to say I'm obsessed! You know I love to share staple pieces from my accessory collection with you, and this is most definitely one of those items. Since they are black, they are sure to match any outfit and are awesome for an elevated everyday look. And they come in the CUTEST case, exclusive to The Jilly Box of course! Now, let's put our hair up, toss on our shades and head to the beach!
I love these sunglasses - I was a little worried because I have a small head, but these fit me really well! They are nice and snug and they look good on my face! Love these and they are oversized without looking buggish or silly - just the right amount!
BluBoho Little Wildflowers Earrings ~ $150.00 CAN. These dainty wildflower earrings are perfect for Summer! They make a great addition for pairing with other earrings you may already have in your collection or even worn on their own. The wildflower earrings are cast from a hand-carved mould in sterling silver and filled with recycled 14k gold vermeil. Not only does the brand create the cutest products but a minimum of 1% of their sales are put towards finding solutions for various environmental crises, so you can feel good when you purchase from them!
These are a lovely little addition to the box, unfortunately I don't have my ears pierced (or I do, but they closed), so I won't be able to wear them. They will make a great gift or I will pass them on the Jilly Box group to someone who is looking for them! They are really pretty earrings.
Tok Beauty Lip Tonic in Kind ~ $29.00 CAN. I have so much love for this lip product because not only does it look stunning on, but it is also good for your lips. It's called a Lip Tonic because it's a cocktail of the best plant-based ingredients that nourish your lips! One of those ingredients happens to be zinc, meaning you will be protected from harmful UV rays. Isn't it the best when a beauty product isn't only cute but also functional?! The lip tonic comes in 4 different shades that go from nude to a bright pink, and no matter what colour you got in your box, they're all great to use year round!
This same in two shades - Kind, a beach sand beige and Rise, a sheer cherry red with shimmer. I got the shade Kind, which is a little too light for me, but you can see what both look like on me here - I have a post with all four original shades you can see them on me here! I really love the formula of these - the shade Inspire is one of my favourite lippies ever, so the formula is great!
Glow Jar Beauty Pineapple Body Oil ~ $38.00 CAN. Keeping my skin hydrated after a day at the beach is important! The sun, sand and water can seriously dry out your skin, and this Pineapple Glow Body Oil from Glow Jar Beauty is perfect to add some extra moisture, not to mention, the amazing pineapple scent immediately transports me to a beach in Hawaii! The light-weight formula ensures a non-greasy feel after you apply it and the best part is that it's made of 5 all-natural oils, which means I don't have to worry about what I'm putting on my skin! Allergy alert: This product contains almond oil.
This smells amazing - I love body products and I love using oils and lotions. I'm big on hydration, so this will get used by me for sure! This is a brand I haven't heard of before either so always excited to be introduced to more Canadian brands!
Overall, this is a great box - it's a great Summer theme and I'm thrilled with the products that they've included! The cooler and throw are amazing and cannot wait to use that body oil! While the box is pretty indulgent at $200 a quarter, it did come with a value of $510.00 CAN. I'm really excited about this box!
