Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oil in Joy - Try-on and Review

Oooh I've been so impressed with the products that I've been trying from Rare Beauty - it's been a brand that's taken me a bit to get on the bandwagon, but they are really growing on me and I'm a fan!

Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oil in Joy ~ $26.00 CAN. An innovative gel-to-oil formula that starts glossy and leaves lips tinted while staying comfortable—never sticky—all day.

This product has been so hyped up, so during the Sephora Sale I had to pick one up - I have been loving lip oils and light, easy lip products are what I gravitate towards, so this sounded perfect for me! 

This is a lip oil, but in a lot of reviews it is compared to a lip tint and I'm not sure I agree (it is a type of tint that leaves a trace of colour on the lips but not in a weird liquid way of original lip tint formulas). I'm not a huge fan of the typical lip tint formula - they go on really liquidy and leave a tint on the lips, but it's often patchy in my experience. 

This is described as a gel-to-oil and that's a pretty realistic description of the formula. The gel texture absorbs and leaves a nice, shiny oil type finish on the lips and as that wears it leaves a nice, even tint on the lips! 

I picked up the shade Joy, which is described as a muted peach.

Here's a look at Joy swatched on my arm - it's a gorgeous peach shade and this formula and shade are going to be perfect for Summer time! 

Here's a look at the Rare Beauty Tinted Lip Oil on me - this shade and finish are so pretty and I'm enjoying the formula! I will say, on first application, the gel texture can be a little odd, but this disappears pretty quick and is comfortable to wear. I like the finish and enjoy the little tint that is left behind! Really happy with this purchase!
