For 2019, I put myself on "stricter" $100 a month budget, not because I need to; it's actually to be more conscious about what I purchase. I also really want to make sure that I'm enjoying and using everything on my collection! But, over the past couple of months, I got a little less strict and went over budget! (I still think I'm being a little more thoughtful in my purchases while I go overboard!)
All products were purchased by me
The Body Shop Haul ~ $32.55 CAN. How cute is this little banana shampoo and conditioner set?! It's called "Go Bananas" and I love it! The shampoo and conditioner are my favourite and the little banana towel is super cute! Plus, I wanted to pick up the Vitamin E mask to try it again as my first experience wasn't the best with it.
Reusable Cotton Pads ~ $21.00 CAN. I have been wanting to pick up some of these reusable cotton pads for a long time and this a local company for 20 pads for $20! I have really enjoyed these cotton pads and they even made my Monthly Favourites in November and I like the lack of waste with these!
Shoppers Drug Mart Haul ~ $7.87 CAN. I love when Shoppers has a "spend your points" events, so you get an extra amount of points which means free stuff! So I spent $100 worth of points and got $150 of free stuff, so this order was supposed to be $157.87! I always stock up on essentials - dry shampoo, micellar water, and face wipes. I also decided to get a new beauty blender and try the Lorac Lux cream shadow! Plus, got a few samples including the Smashbox superfan mascara.
Urban Outfitters Order ~ $8.40 CAN. I really wanted to try this The Creme Shop Scorpio mask because I love zodiac inspired products! I reviewed this mask and you can see my thoughts on it here! And, I picked up another of the UO rose gold metallic foil masks because it was one of my favourites this year!
Sephora Birthday Haul ~ $2.04 CAN. Sorry, ignore the books in the first picture (I totally forgot to take a picture of just the shadows). I used my birthday money to get 5 high end shadows - Marc Jacobs, Natasha Denona, Pat McGrath Labs, Charlotte Tilbury, and Hourglass. Then my birthday gift drama (you can read about it here if you're interested) were the Giorgio Armani mascara and Anastasia Beverly Hills eye primer. The $2.04 is what I paid outside of my birthday money.
November BoxyCharm ~ $40.51 CAN. Ugh, I got sucked back in to trying Boxycharm because some of the spoilers have been looking good (there was a Natasha Denona face palette in the Premium box), but with the products that I got were just okay. I like the palette but I cancelled right away as there is too many subscription levels now and too many options in the subscription that I'm just not interested at all. I did review this and do a full look if you are interested in seeing it here!
December Tribe Beauty Box ~ $55.07 CAN. I've reviewed a past Tribe Beauty Box before and liked it - it's a bi-monthly subscription and I've been keeping my eyes on spoilers for if I want to subscribe again. When I saw that they announced their December box was in partnership with Angelica Nyqvist, I had to get it! I'm a big fan of Angeschka and I liked the sneak peeks of the box! I will review it soon when I receive it!
December Scratch Monthly Mani Kit ~ $20.44 CAN. I always talk about Scratch Monthly Mani kit and it's a subscription that I always get if I like the wraps for the next month! The December kit will be these cute snow flakes that will be perfect for Winter! I'm a big fan of the Scratch wraps!
FourMosa Mask Subscription Money Return ~ -$136.00 CAN. So, I subscribed to a year of the FourMosa mask subscription after trying it in September, and they posted all the spoilers for October so they had a really good deal for a whole year. But, they never shipped the October kits and just sent returns out of the blue - this is not the full return, they kept about $12 which was presumably for the October kit that they never sent. So, I'm never going to order from this company again and I suggest no one should.
So, with my return I only spent $51.88 CAN this whole month! Woo hoo, I haven't been this good with my budget all month (and let's be real - I wasn't that good until I got my return back). I maybe went a little overboard with the subscriptions, but I'm looking forward to most of the products I got this month!

The packaging for the Go Bananas kit is just too cute!!! That sucks about the FourMosa sub, but yay for money back?! lol!
ReplyDeleteI know - I guess it's good they returned the money, but still such a bummer that they didn't return a month's worth and never responded to emails again! Ugh!
